HUSTLE : BOOK 1 "What's Real?" ( AUGUST ALSINA)

Chapter 23: Fire

As I began to introduce my self, some girl stormed in the door.

"Trix !" She screamed. She walked in pissed off.

"What the hell you doing here?" Trix answered her.

"Did you forget about Daquan? You were suppose to take him to football practice today!" She yelled back at her girlfriend.

"Man you coming up here interrupting the meeting and shit." Trix yelled.

"I don't give a damn Trix ! Trina! Who ever the hell you are today!"

Trix and her girl friend kept getting louder.

"Hey everybody I'm Unique." She smiled and wave and started back arguing with Trix.

"Can y'all please take that outside!" Dirk yelled at them.

Trix and Unique left out the door.

After I told them who I was, I continued to listen as Dirk talked.
Genesis took me to his little private space.

"Now this is our spot." He smiled at me.

"It needs a little work, but aye!" I looked around.

Geno and I decided to leave and go hang out. We ate ice cream as we walked in the park. I couldn't help ,but to take a picture of Genesis with his cane.

"Baby I honestly don't know how I feel about the whole helping you out, like that's not me." I explained to him.

"I understand, don't let no body force you to do some you don't want to do." He replied.

We both sat at a bench.

"But at the same time Eden this my world, all I need is a rider right now." He added on.

I kept quiet and thought. I really do like Genesis and want to be with him, but what if all this back fires and get us in deep trouble or killed.

"I want to be your rider and hustle with you, I'm just scared Genesis." I explained to him.

"Why, it's not you are going to be out here slanging your self, you going to be Mrs. Boss." He smiled.

I giggled at how corny he looked right now.

"So does that mean I can call the shots and make moves?" I questioned him.

"Yup!"

I nodded.

"Well I want to make my first command." I smiled at him.

Genesis eye brow went up.

"We need to find you a new house."
I crossed my arms over my chest.

"What the hell why?" He asked me.

"It's common sense, you allowed all these people to know where you rest your head, anybody can come in there and kill you.. You need a nice size house, that's way out in the suburbs and only invite family and real real real close friends." I explained everything out to him.

"Well we don't have family, and not really friends either, so I just its just going to be us."

I frowned up. "What do you mean just us, you mean you."

"How am I going to live in my castle without my queen?"

Genesis and I stayed out late. We came back to my place. G phone began ringing like crazy. When answers I could see something was wrong.

"Baby what happen?" I asked him. "We need to go, my house caught on fire!"

We left as quickly as we could. We pulled to see police and fire department. I helped Genesis out the car.

The police walked up to us. "What's up man." He dapped up Geno.

"What poppin, what the hell happen?" He asked the officer.

"We still trying to figure it out, we not going to be able to tell until we put the flames completely out. We should know by tomorrow." The officer told him. I leaned against the  hood of the car as Geno and he officer walked off and talk.

I turn my head toward the house and flames still rose highly, bright orange and red. The heat consumed my body as I stood there. My attention turn back to Geno who was standing there with his cane. I know my baby is physically sore, I hate now that his mind and soul have to endure this pain.

I don't believe this was any accident. This couldn't have been. The maids were gone, there was no body in the house and this is newly built. I heard commotion from behind me and it was Dirk and Ryan trying to get the dogs from the back yard.

What the fuck is Ryan doing here. I thought to my self. I rolled my eyes and watched as the fire department hosed the house down.

Genesis slowly walked up to me.
"Are you ok?"  I asked him. "To be honest no, but I'm going to be ok ma." He kissed my cheek.

"This what I was talking about earlier-" Geno cut me off.

"I ain't trying to hear that right now aight? Let's just go!" He snapped at me.

I frowned up at him.

"Why you snapping at me, this , all this happen because of what I was telling you! Somebody has a fucking death wish for you!" I got loud with him.

"I fucking know that! Tell me some shit I don't know Eden! You can stop saying the same shit , I get it! I'm not stupid!" He yelled back.

I was over. "Ight whateva." I got in the car and slammed my door.

I waited as Genesis had to help his self get in.

Once he closed his door, I sped off back home.

The entire care ride was silent, even when we got back to my house, he went to go shower and to bed, I took a shower and stayed up in my office area on my computer.

It was getting late, I  was getting sleepy.

In my office I had a day time bed, so I decided to crash there for the night. I turned all the lights completely off and I stared into the darkness.

I heard the bedroom door slide open then light coming from the door way.

"Are you coming to bed?" Genesis asked.

"No I'm sleeping in here tonight." I said softly.

Genesis got quiet. "I didn't mean to go off Eden." He said again.

"It's cool, I just want to sleep right now." I responded.

He slowly walked out and I turned over.
