Break up

I'm sorry it had to come to this but it has to be done.
All the self doubt isn't much fun.
I'm not ready for a serious relationship and I don't want to tie you down.
I'm sorry to say but it's over now.
Nothing's wrong with you it's me.
I have to ensure that I succeed and take my work seriously.
I'm not going to lie and I'm not going to hold this off to hurt you even more.
But I'm sorry we're done for.
I can't take this back and I think it's for the best.
My life is getting crazy and I can't add you to this mess.
Just don't be sad smile and move on because this is the last we will be together.
I wanted forever but my season with you was great.
Judging by my academics I gotta get them straight.
If I have to choose between love or a bright future with my family's respect I choose option B.
No pain or sorrow I weighed my options and it all led to this.
I know this is selfish but I gotta deal with me that means no boys, no distractions.
Just me my books and my grades
