The Prophecy

Chapter Four

After I signed the papers and gave the lady, who's name I found out was Sara Rush, I got the key to the house and called the movers to bring my stuff here I decided to take a short nap the movers won't be here until tomorrow so that means I have nothing to do all day.

I walked past the kitchen then it hit me. I don't even have any food. I guess my nap will have to wait.

So I got my jacket on and scooped up my keys that was in a bowl on a desk in front of the window by the front door and went to my car outside.

I got to my car and got in I started the car and put in my favorite CD "Cassadee Pope" and backed out of my driveway.

I pulled into Walmart and got out of my car. I walked in and got a small basket, I wasn't planning on getting much just dinner and some snacks.

I walked Walmart for a couple of minutes mostly cause I was bored now. As I was turning the corner I trip and I was expecting to hit the ground but didn't. I looked up to see none other then James. At first I got lost in his bright green eyes. Stupid  Chase stop liking him you don't want to get hurt again the voice inside me said.

"umm.. thanks" I thanked him and hurried back to my feet.

"no problem" he said. He was looking at my necklace again. Why does he do that? I mean come on it a old necklace that my grandparents got me. Really I don't know why I'm wearing it.

"So you live around here?" I asked trying to make it not awkward.

"oh no I um.. live in a small house far from here.. it's in the woods." he answer clearing his throat.

"oh I see" I said, I looked at my watch and noticed it was already 9:30. "I should get going, it was nice see you again." I was about to leave but my basket was tugged.

"Here's my number, text or call I don't bite." he said with a laugh.

I took and number and smiled. I waved goodbye and checked out and with out to my car. I put everything in the trunk and walked around to my driver door.

I gasp because there was a note between the windshield whippers.

I picked up the note and read it.

Wow, first day here and already haters.

I got in my car and headed home. I got home and went to my door. As I was reaching to unlock my door I heard a noise. I turned around and saw nothing so I hurried and went inside.

I locked the door and throw my keys on the table missing the bowl.

I went down the hallway to the kitchen. I put my bags down and put everything where it belongs.

After dinner I turned the Tv on and layed down on the couch that came with the house. Soon I slowly drifted off to sleep.

I woke up to a loud bang from outside, it was day time now. I turned off the Tv and walked to the kitchen window. There was a truck by the small house.

Maybe I should introduce myself I thought I mean I really do need friends. I walked outside and went down the path. I was half way down the path when I noticed the truck was gone. We'll it looks like I have to wait to meet the mysterious house owner.

I walked back to my house and was about to head up the stairs but was stopped by a knock at the front door.

Who would be at my door. Maybe the movers left something in there truck.

I opened the door to find no one there. So I walked out on the porch. I almost tripped over a box that was in the middle of the porch. I picked up the box and read the writing on it.

Welcome home Chase,

we missed you..!!(:

What do these people want? I never been here in my life. I walked back inside in layed the box on the coffee table.

I decided to call James, I really need so one here to know I'm safe.
