Just Business

Chapter 1: "The meeting"

Victor only knew his father, Sebastian Michaelis, as a parent, he didn't know of him having another that was still alive. Anytime he'd ask, Sebastian would lie and say his other parent was dead. One morning Victor decided to go into the human world for a little 'snack'. He was chasing after someone trying to corner them, in his efforts he had run into somebody, a taller male. Victor was short and petite for him being a demon and all.

Feeling a thump as Victor runs into him, Ben turns and looks at him, "Why hello there."
Victor makes a soft huffing noise and jumps up. He whimpers, "Hi." He crosses his arms seeing his meal run off, his eyes flare yellow in anger.
Calm and collected as always, Ben introduces himself, "My name's Ben, your's?" He offers his hand to shake and accidentally shows Victor his seal.

"Victor.." He glares slightly and sticks out his black gloved hand shaking Ben's aggressively but him being small didn't really cause much damage. His own seal starts to sting when his hand comes into contact with Ben's.

"Ow!" Ben jerks his hand away from Victor's feeling a sharp stinging pain. He rubs his hand a little trying to soothe the pain, as his seal starts to glow slightly.
Victor takes off his glove quickly and winces rubbing his own glowing seal "o-ow.." He whimpers slightly and rubs it some more.
Observing his seal aloud, temporarily forgetting that Victor was there Ben states, "Only glows like that when I'm around dad..."
Victor glances up at him, "Mine only glows when my father's around.." He mumbles observing Ben.
Ben offers his hand again to test something, "I want to try that again..."
Victor glances down at his hand huffing and slowly sticks out his hand, grabbing Ben's. He winces again from the stinging pain.
Ben grabs ahold of Victor's hand and doesn't let go, "Let it run it's course."
Victor whimpers, trying to pull his hand away, but he's weaker then Ben. The rose in his seal glows brightly.
Gritting his teeth at the pain, Ben maintains his death grip, then the pain suddenly stops however, the seals continue glowing.
Victor breaths out at the pain vanishing, he glances around as a few people give odd glances at the two. He glances at the glowing, "why are they still glowing..?"
Putting on his pair of white gloves, Ben looks around at the people staring at them, and walks off with Victor, "I think we might be related."
He states matter-of-factly.
Victor stumbles after him putting on his black glove. He scoffs and rolled his eyes, "I doubt that.." He mumbles, a little unsure himself.
"How are you at sprinting?", Ben asks as he continues walking.
"I'm doing my best, cause... I have short legs, and you walk fast, where are we going..?" Victor pouted and finally caught up to him trying to keep the same pace.
"My home, I'll have my dad take a look at us, he's like an expert with this." Ben slows down a bit so it's easier for him to keep up.
Victor glances away "I uhm..alright.." He mumbles. They soon got to Ben's house, he sniffs around slightly at the new area. Ben goes up to the door with Victor and opens it, "After you."
Victor walks in and blinks glancing around with a sigh. Claude Faustus, Ben's father walks in, "Ben why didn't you tell me you were bringing a friend over? I would've made tea for hi-" He stops abruptly upon seeing Victor.
Victor glances up and blinks slightly, the man's scent being slightly familiar to him. He slowly walks over, his eyes flashing yellow as he stops in his tracks starting to hiss slightly.
Both Claude and Victor's seals start to glow. Claude looks him over, "A- Are you..."
Victor didn't know why he was hissing, he just had an indescribable gut feeling. Sebastian Michaelis appears behind him and yanks him back by the collar putting Victor to his side. "Why is Victor here with you Claude.." He glares slightly
"Boys why don't you go into the other room and have some tea, me and Seb need to talk." Claude replied deadpan, trying to save the boys emotional pain. Victor shakes his head and clings to Sebastian's leg tightly whimpering.
"Ben brought him home Sebastian, you remember Ben right? Your other son." Ben freezes in shock at hearing Claude's words, "I have a brother?!"
"Yes I remember..but last I recall you tried to steal my Master at the time.." Sebastian shoots Claude a glare and runs his fingers through Victor's hair. Victor blinks in utter disbelief, "b-brother...?"
"That was such a long time ago, can't we put that behind us?" Claude replies. Ben looks at Claude in disappointment, "Why didn't you tell me I had a brother?"
Sebastian sighs, "Hey hey..daddy only lied to keep you safe.." He kneels down and rubs Victor's cheek. Victor's eyes turn yellow as they always do when he's angry, and he growls "Don't touch me! You lied to me!" He pushes Sebastian's hand away and tears up slightly. Ben looks at Victor with nothing but sympathy in his eyes and walks over to him, "Hey." He puts his hand on Victor's shoulder.
Victor glances up at Ben "What.." He mumbled balling his fists up. Sebastian sighs and stands up, looking at Claude. Victor sees kindness reflected back from Ben's eyes, "Let's go to the tea room."
He nods, his eyes shifting back to the hazel color they are naturally. He follows Ben to the tea room. Sebastian sighs softly and glances at Victor with soft eyes. Claude looks at Sebastian, "I still had feelings for you."
Sebastian glances over "Pft.." He sighs and shakes his head, "You were greedy Claude.." He looks away.
Claude looks at the ground in shame, "It had been so long since I'd found a soul like that, and my greed cost you that soul, and your freedom. And for that I'm very sorry..."
"And now I'm bound to that boy for eternity.. Because of your greed.." Sebastian sighs and walks over to Claude, "Victor wouldn't stop asking about his..other parent..so I lied and said you were dead.." Claude continues staring at the floor, "I see..."
Claude suddenly blurts out in a mix of grief and regret, "Couldn't you just break the contract with Ciel?!"
"Demon law states that I can not..when under a contract and your meal becomes a demon you must serve as their servant for eternity." Sebastian mumbles with a sigh, "I want him to know you..just like I want to know Ben.." He gives a slight smile. Claude looks at Sebastian, "I'd love to know him, he looks so much like you, Ben does as well."
Sebastian smiles softly "When Victor gets mad, he scrunches up his face just like you do.." Chuckles softly, "When Ben gets mad shadow feathers start falling like yours."
Sebastian smiles a bit more, "Victor is a spider..a very tiny one at that." he makes a soft laugh. Claude laughs softly, "He is rather petite."
"Yeah..he's attached to me..but something tells me he'll follow you around like a little puppy" Sebastian replies, letting out a small smile.
"We should probably check on them." Claude says as he walks over to Sebastian. Sebastian nods and walks to the tea room with Claude.
Claude walks with him, "Ben always wanted to know his father."
They walk in to see Ben pouring Victor a second cup of tea.
Sebastian watches and smiles softly.
Victor watches Ben pour the tea intently. Ben slowly lifts the tea pot up until it's three feet above the tea cup without spilling a drop, then he stops and sets it aside, at which point he notices Sebastian and Claude.
Victor just watches the tea go into the cup. Sebastian smiles softly at the two as he gives a small wave to Ben.
Ben gestures towards the small sofa that seats two, "Tea?"
Sebastian nods, "I could use some.." He smiles gently.
Ben, pours Sebastian a cup and sets it in front of him, and does the same with Claude. Claude decided to get straight to the point and says, "I've been expecting this day for a while."
