Chapter 4: Recovering

Sarahs P.O.V

Meanwhile, once we all arrived at the hospital I swear the minute me and William went into that waiting room the nurses pushed through the doors running with Kaley while Ariana didn't let go of her for a second she ran with them.

But, one of the nurses stopped Ariana and said" I'm sorry I'm afraid you can't go any further until we have time to make sure she's stable".

Ariana demanded she see her but William had to hold her back and say" Ariana you need to calm down they said she's gonna be ok so let's just wait here until further notice ok I promise you everything will be alright" she nodded and tried every way possible to relax but she couldn't hell I couldn't my best friend just got jumped by like 5 guys.

But luckily my baby William was holding me comforting me.

Arianas P.O.V

I was so scared for Kaleys well being I couldn't believe that Mac did that he almost killed her and the thought of Kaley being dead killed me inside I mean I know that we haven't known each other very long but I feel this massive connection between us and I can't let go of that.

But, for the moment we were just waiting for the nurse to tell us what's going on.

I was shaking and very jittery I couldn't be still my heart was racing I felt like I was gonna puke I was so nervous for the results.

Sarah rubbed my back and said" it's ok I'm trying really hard not to lose it as well so if I can hold it together so can you even William is and he's her cousin".

I smiled and hugged her while we both couldn't help but cry William was rubbing our backs and sarah said" can we have some tissue?" William said" of course sweetie" and as he was going to grab some tissues the nurse approached him and the minute she did we dried our tears and waited to hear what was going on.

When they were done talking William sat down and said" the doctors say Kaleys gonna be ok she's not awake just yet but they informed me on everything that happened and how much damage was done" I said" Please tell me william what happened?" He said" she was hit with a baseball bat on her legs and she had glass steeped into her hands she had been punched and kicked multiple times in the stomach and face" I began to cry even more while Sarah was gripping onto me.

He continued" So they wrapped up her hands for now but haven't found all the glass shards yet and luckily she has no broken bones her legs are fractured at the moment and her face is swollen and she has cuts and wounds on her lips, nose, and forehead but they say she will heal within a few weeks as long as she gets enough rest and we give her the pain meds she needs every night".

I was still in complete shock over all of this but after William was finished the nurse came back and said" You may all come see her now" so we all ran into the room and I couldn't believe what I saw her face was all bruised and wounded her legs were all cut up and her hands were wrapped up with at least 10 layers of bandages.

Kaleys P.O.V

I slowly opened my eyes and saw Ariana next to me holding onto my hand and William and Sarah sitting on the other side of me I smiled and tried to speak but Ariana gently rubbed my face and said" shhhh baby don't speak your in a lot of pain right now please don't make it any worse by speaking were here and we're not leaving your side" I gently and slowly kissed her hand.

I was hooked up to an ivy and I was also hooked up to the monitor as well that's when the nurse came in and said" well it's great that your awake now since your stable were gonna take these chest pads off of you that hook up to the monitor I'm gonna do it nice and slow so we don't hurt your bruises" and with that statement she lifted up my hospital gown and Ariana gasped and cried even more by what she saw my entire chest, stomach, and abdomen was all bruised up and it was swollen so bad to the point it was purple.

William and Sarah stood up as well but the nurse said" it's ok don't worry it looks bad now but we gave her some pain meds to bring the swelling down" they all sat back down after that was clarified.

William asked" she can talk now right?" The nurse said" yes of course" I then said" When can I get out of here?" The nurse said" right after we take the glass shards out of your hands then we will send you home with some pain meds and bandage you up" I nodded and the nurse walked out.

I said" Ariana I just want you to know that this is not your fault it's my fault for almost seducing you I'm sorry it's just I think I'm starting to fall for you" she said" Kaley don't apologize for that I wanted to do it because it felt so right and you feel right to me" I asked" wait right before I blacked out I saw some paparazzi what we're they here for?" She said" taking shots of me helping you but I didn't care I just wanted you to be ok I would much rather be exposed than lie and not care for you".

I pulled her closer and we gently kissed. William and Sarah couldn't help but smile and William had his arm around Sarah while they walked up to me and said" Were glad your ok Kaley we don't know what we would of done if something happened to you" I said" thank you guys so much for being here and keeping Ariana calm I couldn't appreciate that more" they smiled at each other and kissed.

Then a male nurse came in and said" Ok Kaley it's time to take the shards out of your hands then your free to go" I gulped while Ariana held onto me and he unwrapped my left hand and got some tweezers and slowly began to take the shards out I was in a lot of pain and everyone couldn't stand seeing me in pain but once he was done with that hand he said" don't worry were almost done" and he unwrapped my right hand and began to take the shards out of that one and it hurt so bad both my hands were messed up so badly.

He stopped the bleeding and wrapped my hands up with nice clean bandages and put some numbing medicine on them so it wouldn't hurt as much and he said" Alright you guys know the drill here's the medicine some good bandages and oh I almost forgot don't touch around her chest area or her lower abdomen it's pretty swollen around there but other than that you just need to sign the discharge papers and your all free to go".

So William signed the discharge papers and they gave me crutches to walk out with and Ariana slowly helped into the car and we drove back to the hotel.

Once we got there Ariana couldn't help herself by tucking me in and making me breakfast in bed because we didn't leave until around 7am and I said" you don't have to go all out like this babe but I appreciate it very much" she said" you got your ass kicked for me and we almost had sex trust me I owe you one" I chuckled as we gazed and before we could kiss Candice and Paul walked in.

Sarah hugged Candice and Paul shook Williams hand and gave him a bro hug while Candice said" we heard the news so I made you guys some homemade chocolate chip cookies" Paul said" Yep she just couldn't help herself but hey kindness is a virtue right?" I said" it's actually patience is a virtue but kindness is too so" he chuckled and said" gotta work on my logic" we all laughed.

Sarah said" You called them?" William said" yes baby we needed the support and I know how much you love Candice so I did all of us a favor" she said" awe I love you baby" and they kissed.
