7:20 the clock read. I was on my way downstairs for school on a Monday. As I am exiting the door I hear my mother.
"Where do you think you're going young lady?" my mother appeared out of no where.
"Where do you think I'm going? I'm going to school" I responded.
"You're not going to that school anymore. We're moving remember?" She stated.
"How come you never tell me these things mother? The school board probably thinks I'm ditching now" I head for the stairs.
"Don't worry about. I told them ahead of time that you won't be attending there anymore and you'll be transferring schools. I transferred your school papers and everything. Now please go pack. We're leaving tonight." I barely hear her.
I twist the door knob to my bedroom. I see my boring white wall. I open my closet door and grab some boxes. I pack my clothes and other belongings away. I noticed I still haven't pack my frames. I carefully put my frames away until I stopped on one.
The swing set looked new and shiny. The weather looked appropriate at the time. The small child laughing as if she was happy. The father enjoying his time with his daughter. She was loving how her father pushed her higher.
Only if Time can reverse. I miss these moments with my father. He died from cancer when I was about 6 years old. I didn't understand back then.
I snap back to reality. I quickly finish packing the frames and everything. I grab some boxes and put them downstairs taking trips.
My mother finished the whole house with the help of our neighbors. They were taking everything to the rental. I'm really going to miss this place. The memories with my father will stay here.
"Lily we're leaving now!" My mother yelled from outside.
I take slow steps towards the front door not wanting to miss this precious moment. I inhale my homes' aroma one last time. "I love you dad. I'll miss you" I close the door. I'm really going to miss England.
"Now you guys take care and have a nice flight!" My neighbors hugged my mother and I. "Thank you for everything. We'll come back to visit some day! Take care!" My mother says. We get into the car and wave them off. We're heading towards the airport. I just realized I have no idea where I'm moving.
"Mother, Where are we moving exactly? You never had the chance to tell me" I questioned. Please don't let it be somewhere that's super dry.
"We're moving to Washington honey! You'll love it over there. Haven't you always been saying that you want to live in Washington?!" She looked at me for a second then focused back to the road.
That was before my father died. All I want to live now is where we use to live at. "I guess. I mean how bad can Washington be?" I joke.
"Wait, what part of Washington mother?" I reply.
"Seattle!" mother proclaimed.
For starters, I know for a fact that Mike does not live in Washington, he lives in Florida. This is a a.u. book so I can change anything here. Well I hope you guys liked the first chapter. :)
