Remember a few updates ago when I said I was writing a few songs and posted an acoustic demo of one of them.
Well, they've already been professionally produced and are about to be released as an 8-track LP next month.
I have already released Running With The Wild Things as a single, and I can't wait for you guys to hear the rest.
But Chrissy, why is it under your name and not City Lights'? What is happening?
Well dear curious fuckers, you don't have to worry, City Lights isn't breaking up. Considering we are starting our tour already, it would be cruel to break up before we even played our first venue. Just think of this project like Andy Black or Tyler Carter.
Ever since March—which is when I was done writing most of the songs—I knew that these songs weren't very City Lights-ish, so I put them off until I could find other people and put it under a different name. And around that month I met Cameron. He helped me with the melodies, guitar chords, finding people to help me produce it, and so much more.
As stated before, this side project of mine is very different from what I do with City Lights. I'm not gonna give much away. Since I already released RWTWT, that song is the only one off the album that is rock. Some other songs are poppy and kind of...dancy? The others are slower, softer, and sad. Reason for this is because those lyrics are very personal to me.
Anyways, I have band things to attend to.
Peace
xChrissy~
for originals, I'll be using Against the Current and a bit of We Are The In Crowd.
