I waited for PJ to come into the theater rather than watched the movie. He took over twenty minutes just to tie his shoe. I wonder what happened. Tommy completely ignored me for the movie, which I was thankful for. I didn't like him as much as I could, but I only want the best for the boys.
"Dash!" I heard voices whispered from above me. I looked up and saw the boys leaning over the side if the wall. They soon disappeared and I went back to being bored again.
"There they are!"
"Hey Dash! Tommy," Two-Ton sat behind us, followed by the rest of the boys and PJ. I silently thanked him for saving me from this boring mess. Two-Ton also proceeded to take some popcorn out of my bucket I was supposed to share with PJ.
"Hey!" I yelled and knocked the popcorn that remained in his hand down. Two-Ton meerly shrugged and munched on the popcorn in his mouth.
"What are you doing here?" Tommy hissed, annoyed they interrupted part of the movie. "Stop that!"
Two-Ton held his empty hands up, but his face was like a chipmunk from all of Tommy's popcorn. I laughed, but quickly stopped when everyone around us gave me shh-ing noises.
"Tommy, why don't you go take your friends outside, so you can talk?" Mrs. Santorelli whispered to us politely. I rejoiced on the inside and turned to leave. I couldn't have been happier to get out of this place. I always hated movies for some reason. I bumped heads with someone and held the place where I got hit.
"I'm so sorry, Dash!" Timber said, but got shushed by an elderly couple. I silently laughed and gave him a hug. I could feel my cheeks burn up.
"But mom, I'll miss the part where the monster sings and dances!" We all looked at him weird, but shrugged it off. Kid's been going crazy since he got hit. "Nevermind, let's go."
As we all plied down the isle, Timber grabbed my hand and put his arm around me when we reached the end. We all looked at Tommy's faintly lit face.
"I appreciate you guys asking me and all, but, the turth is, I have way too much going on in my life right now," Tommy shook his head and crossed his arms.
"But Tommy, we wouldn't be here if we didn't need you and we aren't exactly what you call 'good,'" DP informed him, hoping to change his mind.
"I'm sorry, I just can't."
"Tommy, I'm only going to ask you this once, so I want you to be completely honest with me, okay?" Two-Ton put a hand on Tommy's shoulder. Tommy nodded, a little suspicious about what Two-Ton's question. "Can you spot me twenty five cents for some Goobers?"
"Geez Louise, Two-Ton!" Wok complained. I scoffed as Timber chuckled and pulled me closer. I felt my face warm up all the way to my ears.
"My guess is you guys don't have any tickets?" The usher held his flashlight to our little group. Everyone cowered behind PJ, Tommy and I.
"We're with them," Wings squeaked from behind me.
"Kill the monster!" Tommy yelled, making me jump a little.
"Kill the monster?" The usher questioned out loud.
"Kill the monster!" The a muscular voice in the movie shouted. What just happened?
"See ya! Wouldn't wanna be ya!" Wings took off in a sprint down an en empty isle.
"Smell ya! Shouldn't have to tell ya!" Roll also yelled taking off in a different direction. Timber took my hand as we ran down the way we came. I felt no pain in my ankle like I usually would, but I was running off of adrenaline. We hopped empty chairs into somewhat empty isles.
"I'm calling the cops! Officer Pork Chop!" The usher screamed behind us. I could see Officer Pork Chop hiding out in a dark corner and tilted his hat down, so you couldn't see his face. I laughed and ran out towards the exit.
"Goobers, goobers, goobers," Two Ton chanted, heading back towards the concessions. I pulled him away as Timber and I sprinted. We all sat on the curb outside and waited for PJ and Wok to come out. It was a warm Summer night and it was great with the little breeze.
"So, how was the movie?" Wings asked with the most crooked smile on his face. I knew something was up.
"I don't know... I wasn't watching, just thinking."
"About mmm," He mumbled. I didn't really hear what he said and brushed it off.
"So, Dash. Anyone in particular on your mind right now?" Roll smirked at me, like he knew something I didn't.
"Excuse me?" I asked, as PJ and Wok ran towards us.
"We know you like Timber. We heard you over near the bushes," DP spilled, making me turn a deep red. All the boys slapped him upside the head. Not only was I little embarrassed, but I was also angry they eavesdropped on me.
"Hey!" PJ exclaimed, but saw the look on my face. "Guys..."
"Dash-" Timber began, as I took his arm off my shoulder and got up. I thought I could trust them.
"Save your breath. Yes, I do like Timber, but did you really have to spy on me?" I turned around and began to walk away as fast as I could on a bum ankle. I laughed at myself, how could I have been so stupid?
