A while later after Ian declared that I had seen enough we walk back to our dorm.
I would never admit this to him but it wasn't that boring.
He even showed me his go to make out spot. And I made a mental note to never go near that place.
People eating each other's faces is something That I could live seeing without. Urgh disgusting. And now he's attempting to convince me to go to this some party....
" oh cmon it's tradition to go to this, stop being a bitch and come"
" Yh no"
" there's gonna be food.." He taunted.
" can't you just go and bring me food" I sighed.
" hmm now why would I do that.." He smirks.
" fine, you know I really don't like the fact that I've only been here a few hours, and I'm already being manipulated"I pull on a grey sweater and a pair of black ripped jeans. I don't bother to brush my hair and I just run my hands through it.
"That's what your wearing?" Ian raises his eyebrow. I wave him off and follow him to wherever this party is.
Please let there be good food.
...........No wonder Ian looked at me weird when he saw what I was wearing...
The girls here look like they came from a strip club. Not all of them but most of them.
As soon as we enter the party I'm already feeling like an outsider. People grinding against each other, couples basically having sex on various places around the room and everyone smelling like they swam in a sea of alcohol. Oh god why am I here?Right. I'm here for the food. So when Ian starts talking to some girl I walk away with the intention of finding some food that will possibly not poison me or kill me.
Sigh
I could use some extra salty crisps right now.I spot a table in a far corner of the room. Holy shit i see popcorn.
I make my way towards it and grab a bowl of popcorn.
I start munching it and I feel somewhat calmer when the buttery taste explodes in my mouth.I spot A small corridor to the side and I silently debate in my head as to if I should go into it. Oh well not like Ian's gonna come looking for me anytime soon. I walk to it. A bit into the corridor I spot a small room. It was dark.
Out of curiosity I switch the light on.
As the room is flooded with light I stifle a gasp.
Skateboards cover most of the walls.
Woah being a skateboarder myself I go closer to examine them. Damn these are good ones. Probably really expensive too. I was just about to get one down when a voice behind me speaks.
" better not touch them"
" who are you and get out" I say without turning around.
He chuckles " I don't think your allowed to tell me to get out of my own house"
I turn to see who this person is when I'm greeted with a familiar sight.
"I'm Aaron "
Of all the people.. Did it have to be him?
" I know"
"You do?" He looks surprised.
" Yh you do art with Howard " I state in a monotone voice while looking at him.
Not in his previous Abercrombie hoodie, he was now in a white t shirt and jeans with a beanie on his head. He looks like he just came from a walk in the woods or something." oh yeah that's why you seem familiar"
I nod not saying anything.
He cleared his throat awkwardly " so I'm not trying to be rude but could you go out please, my brother doesn't like anyone coming in here"
"Oh, sure" I hurriedly step out
making sure not to bump into him. I make my way back to the food table.
I only noticed when I looked back for a second, he was following me.
"Um you want something" I ask awkwardly.
"Nope just food"
I shrug and hand him a popcorn bowl.
" actually I hate popcorn" he says with a smile.
"Whaaat? How could you?" I blurt out of surprise. " I mean they're like miniature pieces of heaven"
" now that's some exaggeration, but really I don't like them" his smile widens.
" oh well more for me" I pop another piece of popcorn in my mouth.
We are both silent for a second.Just as I was making an escape plan because I had a feeling that this was getting awkward,
" so I take it that you don't really like parties"
" to be honest with you I just came for the food"
He smirks. " yeah I'm not the partying type either"
" well that's why your here staring at me eat popcorn instead of getting it on with someone one the dance floor isn't it?"
"Brutally honest aren't you?" He smirks.
" you just gotta accept the sad truth" I say a smirk warning to appear on my face.
" so who are you with?"
" no one" I reply deftlyWow when did I get this social
"I actually meant who are you rooming with" he says with a hint of another smirk.
" oh right, Ian "" did you know that your the only girl that's rooming with a guy?"
He has a point there.
"Actually I never even thought about that"
" they couldn't keep Ian off the guys" he laughs. " that's why he's roomed with a girl."
I laugh surprising myself. " wow only Ian. "
" so Harper you do graffiti huh?"
My eyes widen.
" you know my name?"
He looks like he's mentally scolding himself. Weird.
" let's just say that I have excellent memory"
" okay. And the answer to your question, yes I paint"
" paint what?"
" umm stuff" I mumble not really wanting to reveal my graffiti history.
"Okay, so where do you get your spray paint from"
Thank god he changed the subject.
" um this place called Pax, it's nearby"
"So where is it? Actually don't bother telling me I won't remember. Just give me your no yeah and ill text you if I need directions whenever."
"Okay sure" I tell him my number and he immediately sends a text to my phone.
As my phone pings in my hand he takes it and saves him number under his name.
"Thanks" I say taking my phone back."Harper there you are, been looking all over for you girl" I hear Ian walking towards me.
"Oh you have company, I'm sorry but we have to go" he says a smirk playing on his lips.
"Actually we were just done talking" I turn to Aaron "see you around"
He salutes making Ian's smirk go higher next to me.When were out of Aaron's earshot Ian starts
" damn good catch girl"
" oh please"
" cmon stop kidding me, I saw you two exchanging numbers"
" he just wanted directions to this paint shop"
" couldn't he just ask you for it right then" a knowing smile was on his face and I didn't like it one bit.
"He said he wouldn't remember... Oh fuck..." I groaned as the realisation sinks in.
Ian whistles " that's one smooth guy"
