It had been a month since I was drunk and Margaret came to my rescue with omelettes and the mystery goop. Since then I have realized, dwelling about things happening at the moment is stupid, and all it does is get you down in the dumps. Marge and I have become more comfortable around each other, and she often joins us for suppers now that she is stationed in the London hospital to finish her internship.

It was 10:48 am, and I had just finished breakfast when I heard Phil walking down the hallway towards the lounge. He had his laptop in his hands, so I guessed he was editing his AmazingPhil video he filmed the other day.

Even though Marge and Phil have been dating for more than five months now, Phil still hadn't introduced his viewers to Margaret, as if he thought he would lose people due to their hard core Phan shipping. It was okay with me, I guess. I think they should tell people once it becomes more serious, they don't seem to be splitting up any time soon though. The only fight that I've heard them have is about the fact that Marge wants Phil to tell people, and it never resulted in anger for it was only a small argument.

I grabbed my Oyster card from my bedroom and made sure I looked okay in my dark skinny jeans that I have found that I may wear too much, and a new grey t-shirt that was plain and simple. Grabbing a light black rain jacket I slipped out the door, saying goodbye to Phil and making my way into the light rain.

Once I had made it to the Underground, I thought out my destination before I went any where. I just have to make it to the bookstore and back.

I tapped my card and headed into the tube, the bookstore was about a fifteen minute ride across London, and since there were no seats left, I stood.

Finally reaching my stop, I got out and headed up. 11:36am September Friday 15th 2017 read an over head electric banner.

It was only misting by the time I reached the cozy looking bookstore, the air was dripping with cold humidity that surrounded the street and fogged the windows. Yet it was a fresh morning, and the road was already dotted with people. It made me feel an excited twinge in the pit of my stomach.

Stepping into the bookstore, a wave of warm, sweet smelling air hit me and soft lights made my eyes, that seemed to have been squinting, relax. There were only a couple people I could see, scanning over the books on shelves that lined the store and zigzagged across the floors. Making my way to the back to the manga section, I started to look for the next book I needed. At the beginning of this month I started to get into a great manga series that was both intriguing and interesting, so of course I now had to buy the third book before I went crazy.

Finally, after five minutes of searching among the section I finally found what I was looking for and pulled the shiny book out of the case. Making sure it was the right one, I looked down and turned around. Not realizing my surroundings I ran directly into someone and knocked three of their thicker books out of their arms with a slight grunt.

"Sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going and- oh I didn't mean to- did I scare you? I'm sorry!" The shorter blonde boy babbled an apology in his light Australian accent.

"No!" I said as I bent down to pick up his books, "I should be sorry, I wasn't even looking where I was going."

When I stood up I saw his face flood with red embarrassment. Handing his books back he shook his head and mumbled, "I've only been here for a week and I've messed something up."

"Oh, are you new in London?" I asked, slightly captivated by his hazel eyes.

Looking back up at me he answered, "yeah, well, I um, moved here last week because I wanted to uh, get away from home. And well, because I thought it be um, cool I guess I don't know."

Chuckling at the way he stumbled on his words, it seemed to make him feel a little bit better. London is a pretty big place to move to, and talking to strangers probably isn't any new persons favourite idea.

"How much of London have you seen?" I ponder.

Shuffling he says, "not a lot to be honest. Um, I moved into my apartment and kinda, stayed hidden away for a little bit. I uh, wanted to buy a couple books to get into so I came into this part of London to, buy some."

The three books he was holding were the first three Harry Potter books. He sure has a great taste. "My name is Dan, I guess I forgot to tell you my name." I grin and hold my right hand forward while holding my manga to my side.

The blonde smiled back awkwardly and shook my hand with his shaky one, "I'm Greene Steadtlar. Sorry for wasting all your time here."

"No! Don't say that! I had time to spare anyway, the whole day TBH and you didn't waste it, I like getting to know random people." I reassure him, he sure seems sorry.

Pulling his hand away he gives me a half smile and runs a hand though his hair, which was similar to mine, yet blonde.

"I guess, um, I should get going. These books aren't going to read themselves." Greene smiles back.

"Wait-" I say as he starts to turn around, I don't even know what I'm doing until I say it, "do you want me to show you around London?"

What, am I, doing?! Why am I even being social in public, this is so unlike my normal self. Greene turns to look back at me again and shyly replies, "Thanks, I- um, would like that. I mean I don't know much about London and stuff."

Looking at his little armful I nod and suggest that we should buy our books first, then since it's almost lunch I could show him a cool café downtown. Greene was about a whole head shorter than me so I had to look down at him ever so slightly when we talked. He was quite shaky and jumpy, but he must just be nervous around new areas because Greene told me that he grew up in a small town in Australia so London was a whole new experience for him. He had a unique little sniffle for a laugh that I found pretty cool.

I guess you could say exchanging phone numbers with the little blonde boy so I could meet up with him the next day was pretty cool too.
