Its been a full week that you had been here and your love only grew for the place and the people/chipmunks in it. You held the stuffed bear close to your chest as your body heat radiated right back off it onto you. You closed your eyes and tossed and turned but your mind was clouded with questions and worries. Trying to put these thoughts aside you sighed and sat up in your bed gazing out your window to see the stars shine among the fogged out moon peeking through the parting clouds. An idea came to mind as you slipped out of your bed and walked to your wardrobe. You gripped the draw handle slow and gently to avoid any noise before tugging it open making a quiet deep scraping sound. Despite the dark setting you could still see the illuminated sides of a black covered book from the moon hue; The pages pure white with lines across every one. You took it in your paws and carried it back to your bed leaving the draw wide open, not wanting to make any more disturbance to the houses held silence. You got back on your bed with a jump like motion with the item firmly in grip as you placed it down on the covers. You smiled at the cover only just being able to read it. It read "Dreams" this held all your tips, ideas and songs that helped you either calm yourself down or to help clear your mind. You flipped the cover over and a few pages until you reached the song section of your book. Scanning each page carefully of what you could make out you finally got to the right song. You inhaled before you begun you started to sing.
"Mean old moon. It must be fun, to shine upon me as I come undone. Till I'm all alone beneath the sun... You mean old moo-o-on." Your tense body seemed to relax as you continued however, once you entered this peaceful trance you began too loose all sense around you and so you were oblivious to just how loud you were singing- though your tone remained soft and gentle.
"With your beam you led the way.. And found me love I thought was here to stay-y then you went and took my love away, You mean ol-l-ld moon..."
As the eldest chipmunk opened the fridge door letting the icy temperature crash against him he swore he could hear a voice; a voice of an angle. His right ear twitched as he grabbed the chosen food and closed the door soon to walk towards the melodic tinted voice intrigued. He examined his surroundings following wherever his ears would guide him. He felt his chest tickle like bubbles were popping inside him ever so lightly. At this point his walking was completely dependant on the gentle tone of your voice as it seemed to pull him closer. He remained this way until he reached the source of the song- you. His eyes- glossed with the moonlight- settled upon your figure as the light cascaded on you causing you to look nothing more than a beautiful silhouette. You had moved from your bed to the window at this point. "Oh, you mean old stars abo-o-o-ove, the games that you play me-e-e-e. I could find some happiness if all of my nights were cloudy." Alvin could feel his body go light and his heart thump against his ribs. A million thoughts raced in his mind as he wanted more than anything to remain hidden. More than ever now he wanted to impress you. He couldn't do that if you saw the flustered state he was in. Instead he used your shadow to remain hidden. "Mean old moon, I hope its true... You're taking all the light that's left in you and saving it up for you-know-who, You mean old moo-o-on, You mean old... Moo-o-on." Your last words drifted to a soft finish as you couldn't help but smile. You felt your once tense body melt into a serene like state after your final notes left your lips. Little did you know, that song would soon mean a lot more to you. You moved from your window as your shadow shifted with you leaving Alvin out in the open. His heart pounded in his chest at this as he was quick to scurry away and skid to a stop with his back up to the wall once out of your sight. Your ears instantly perked up at the sound of his movement as your body turned itself rapidly with adrenaline coursing through you. Your mouth sealed itself shut as you took cautious steps towards the belonging of the noise. To your own surprise however you saw nothing and with the panic leaving your mind you simply shrugged it off and pushed it to the back of your mind. "Weird.." You mumbled to yourself before walking back to your bed and lifting the book from it's place to the bedside table. Taking a few breaths you lifted the quilts up as you climbed in before you snuggled down beneath them closing your eyes not long after.
This wasn't the case for Alvin however. After making sure you hadn't followed him he scurried off to the room he shared with his brothers and shook them both in a rather aggressive manner. "Guys! Guys!" He whispered loudly as they both groaned and opened their eyes. Theodore was first to speak. "What is it, Alvin?" "Ugh, what time is it?" Simon asked with a groggy tone as he picked up his glasses, wiping them on his shirt and then putting them on. The eldest chipmunk held an idiotic smile as your singing was at this point carved into his mind- he didn't want to forget it. "It's (Y/n)! Her voice is amazing!" The two younger brothers exchanged glances of confusion and soon both looked towards the eldest of the three. "Her voice? What do you mean? We've all heard her speak before.." The second eldest spoke before Theodore was to speak once more "Even though her voice is sweet! Like cotton-candy!" This made Alvin face-palm and Simon to chuckle at his innocence. "No, you idiots. Her singing. She has a great. Singing voice." "She does? Come to think of it I've never heard her sing a note." "Oh, It's like a siren! No, No!- An angel!" Alvin exclaimed as he threw his arms up in bliss. Once again both brothers exchanged looks the only difference were their expressions which were both now smug. Alvin noticed this almost instantly and raised a brow. "What?" They both smirked. "Someone's gotta cru-u-u-sh~" They said in unison and with the same mockery. All Alvin could do was let the a blush dust across his cheeks as he scolded them with denial.
