August's POV

I got up and went upstairs to my room. I looked behind me to make sure Kylani wasn't following me before I closed the door. "How did you get my number?"

"That's not important. Meet me at Anatolia tomorrow at 5. We have business to discuss."

"We don't have business so what is there to discuss?" She laughed.

"See you tomorrow." Before I could say anything, she hung up. What is there to talk about? I shook my head and made my way downstairs. Kylani was fully dressed, sitting on the couch with this worried look on her face. "You okay?"

"Shouldn't I be asking you that?"

"Sorry about that. I didn't mean to scare you." She just sat there and played with her fingers. "You leavin me?"

"I was debating."

"Come on." I grabbed her hand and tried to help her up. Instead, she looked me crazy. "Where we goin?"

"To my room."

"To..."

"Pick up where we left off." She slowly got off the couch and walked up to me til our lips were barely touching each other. She gently rubbed my cheek with her hand then looked me in my eyes. "I'm not in the mood anymore." She started walking towards the door and I went behind her. "What happened?"

"Nothing happened. When you get scared or worried you tend to not wanna have sex anymore. Call me later?" I shook my head yeah with a defeated look on my face. She gave me a kiss on the cheek and left. Dammit!

Kylani's POV

August's phone call has been buggin me ever since I left his house. I mean, don't get me wrong, he usually excuses himself when he has an important or private phone call but the way his body tensed up right before he left and the way he stormed out of the living room had me worried. "You okay," Tiffany asked as she walked into the living room and joined me on the couch. "Hm? Yeah. I'm fine."

"Lani..." She looked at me unconvinced.

"What?"

"What's bothering you? You don't ever stare into space unless you're in deep thought about something on your mind or you're sleepy. And you don't look sleepy to me."

"Alright. August got this phone call last night and whoever it was, was somebody he's been avoiding or not too fond of because his body got so tensed and he practically ran out of the living room to take that call."

"That doesn't mean something's wrong. It was probably that Justine girl and he didn't want you to see him upset." I didn't say anything. "I tell you what. You go get dressed. I'ma call Sammie and Marrisa so we can go out and do something to get your mind off of this.

A few hours later.....

When we arrived to the club, we went straight to the bar to get our drinks. We didn't necessarily come for the drinks, I just felt like I needed one. I took my first sip and leaned my head back, relaxing my nerves. "You sure you're okay," Tiffany asked.

"I'm fine." They all looked at each other worried. "I'm fine!"

"Okay." We decided to just dance on the floor with everybody else instead of going to the VIP section. As the night went on, I started to enjoy myself more and more but the drinks had caught up with me. "I'll be back y'all. I have to go to the bathroom."
