I arrived at the fields just in time for Ruby to dance. I made my parents leave two hours earlier than necessary just so I could see her. I knew her, but I don't think that she even knew I existed. I've tried to talk to her. But I always freeze up even when we're not even in earshot of each other. My friends absolutely are disgusted by her crew in school, but I'm not. We go to school together we have lunch and many other classes. I wish she would just notice me. There she is. Ruby steps onto the field. And the music starts. She dances in a most excellent way, she has great form. I think. I don't know that much about dance but I started secretly studying it so o could talk to her someday. She gets an impossible score of 28/30. Ruby was the last dance. She won. Inside I was so happy for her. She was amazing. But I couldn't show my joy especially since my baseball buddies had just showed up. I took one last glance at Ruby than following my team into the dugout.
