running towards tomorrow

date night

I felt breath on my lips as I came out from my deep slumber. The breathing got nearer and nearer till  a pair of soft lips latched onto mine, I responded immediately savouring the taste, cinnamon, then I realised. It was Leo. He broke away too soon for my liking and placed his forehead against mine as I peeled back my eyelid. My face grinned as I felt his fingers caress my cheeks “its twelve already, we were out for seventeen hours. I think we should get up now...”  nodding slightly, stifling a yawn, I rolled over onto my back leaving him lying there on his side. Leo sat up after I stretched and took off the clothes he fell asleep in, I looked at my now cold bare body “what happened to my clothes!” I demanded outraged making a slight blush creep onto Leos face and a smile on my own, “mother came in during the night to see if we had gotten back up and woke me to change you. After taking off your clothes I fell asleep and didn’t even remove mine!” ha-ha that sounded like April. I took the shirt he had just thrown on the floor and walked to my clothes, my trackies would do till the date tonight. As he stepped out of the bathroom I noticed we had similar ideas, noticing his Hollister low slung bottoms the only difference was my vest and his bare chest. My bare feet skipped out of the room leading myself and Leo who was hot on my heels into the games room, I slipped tangled into the Xbox and got comfy “room for one more?” I saw Leo leaning still against the door frame holding two plates piled with drop pancakes and syrup, nodding enthusiastically he placed his butt next to mine handing me a plate in the process. We ate in complete silence whilst watching the film, “so tonight’s date! I will pick you up at eight. OK!” I smiled up at him placing my plate on the wooden ground before my eyebrows connected in confusion. “pick me up?” Leo winked and turned my head back to the screen to see it near the end. As the credits rolled I puffed out my cheeks causing Leo to pinch them and make cooing noises, “how is it four!” he burst out  randomly turning his eyes away from his clock “hmmm, let me think! We paused to raid the fridge then when we put everything on the counter you attack tickled me which turned to something else....then we had the doctor come round to take off my cast because apparently its nearly healed and can do without the cast. then we forgot to press play after dirty word scrabble! I don’t even know how you know that many dirty words!” Leo nodded in understanding and pointed a finger at himself “I’m a boy!” he defended himself lamely and I just petted his head and rolled my eyes “no shit Sherlock!” Leo slumped into a lying position and pulled me on top pressing his lips to mine. Boom, April and lance burst through the doors and looked at our very intimate position with him kissing me softly, April grinned and let out a small eeeeck sound. We jumped apart but he kept me firmly in place with his arms round me as we looked up to two contrasting facial expression, a scowl and a grin “hello my little love birds! So your date tonight... I was thinking that I could help you dress. Good. OK!” without even letting me answer she strutted out of the room leaving lance to scowl some more, I looked down at Leo who had his jaw clenched but as if traced my fingers along his jaw it unclenched and lifted to my own capturing my lips once again “does she know where we are going?” I mumbled onto his lips and he nodded and licked my bottom lip before biting down trying to get entrance, “eh em!” our heads snapped up towards lance and a blush spread against my cheeks “yes lance?” he straightened his back and nodded in a respectful manner “you sisters, all of them, are coming in during the night and will be here by morning. That is why we had to come back  by helicopter also because the plane was stranded with them!” lance stormed from the room after his small speech and you could hear the clacking of his uniform shoes on the floor. “AZUL! Do come here now, please!” Aprils voice filled the room through the intercom, “it’s only after five though!” I groaned and lifted myself from his chest before walking towards the door and turning back offering Leo a small smile.

As I got to the bedroom door of mine and Leos room, my t-shirt was taken a hold of and dragged into a breath taking dressing room, the room was large and cream with accents of lilac. The makeup island in the middle had a chair sitting within the design and a long silky purple dress lay over the top. There was also a bath full to the brim with soapy water, “blue you bath for thirty minutes in the oils and stuff that my stylist  put in the bath then shave and wash your hair, at the latest of six fifteen we will dry you off and moisturize and put on underwear selected then at six thirty hair and at seven fifteen make up and lastly at seven forty five the dress and then accessorise!” April danced her way over to the door and winked at me “I’ll be back at six thirty and follow the routine!” I climbed in the bath and started the ‘routine’. “OK yay your in the underwear now sit in the padded French chair in that corner!” I walked over to the corner of the room and sat in the padded chair feeling very exposed in my lacy black thong and matching strapless bra. SUE YOU APRIL! “where am I going?” April grinned and put her thumbs up “a dinner dance, Leos best friend Alexander, you know one of our old servants, he just got engaged to my niece which I’m delighted about, so my brother is throwing a dinner dance and it just so happens it’s the night me and ray are travelling to meet the girls! So anyway that’s where you’re going!” my heart stopped and my eyes popped, oh dear lord what would we say to people! “don’t worry girls I’m here!” screamed a very gay voice from the door (AN/ I have not a problem with gay people, it’s just he’s flamboyantly gay!) I looked to see Steven whom I was introduced to a while back, I smiled slightly and waved “oh my I would turn straight for you young lady!” aaahhh assumptions confirmed, April fussed around Steven and told he what to do. After years and years, well what felt like it, I was ready to see my image, he turned the my body to look in the floor length mirror leaning against the wall. I stood up and stared at my face, I looked just like a more feminine me not completely different like most people would say but just a me that had her cheek bones emphasised and lips also, my hair fell in ringlets around my face with my fringe and front of my hair held in by a purple ribbon and tied in a bow, my hair was in a sort of quiff in front of the ribbon and my eyes looked huge like a deer in headlights but in a nice sort of way..... Steven went over to the other chair and lifted up  the dress it was beautiful April slipped it over my head and then added a silver thin chain to my wrist and a blue sapphire ring that had purple tones onto one of my fingers. Knock knock! Came from down stairs and April grinned and rushed out the door dragging me with her, ray opened the door and there looking mighty divine in a tuxedo with his jacket slung over his shoulder was Leo looking smug and wearing a I told you so expression “what are you at the door for Leonardo?” Leo nodded in my direction as I ran down the stairs my purple converse pattering on the wood, I jumped into Leos arms and waved at a laughing ray and April “now you will pick me up Leo!” Leo chuckled and looked at my feet Aprils eyes trailing down there also, she gasped “okay quick shoe change now!” but  before she could take my shoe off Leo ran towards the car throwing me in “drive tom drive!” we giggled all the way to his uncles mansion. We were stood at the door and I was absolutely crapping myself “Leo I cant dance so don’t make me and what are we to tell people we are?” Leo blushed and placed me on his toes “now you can, and I was thinking maybe my girlfriend but just for tonight because our relationship wants to grow and not rush!” I kissed his sweet lips softly and got off his toes making sure my converse were hidden. The ballroom was full to the brim with people but they all stopped their chatter as we entered by announcement “lady blue and his majesty the prince!” Alex ran towards us “what’s up man, oh and blue....Oooo you two a thing now!” he waggled his eyebrows and everyone continued to stare “man I missed you and yeah!” I waved a small wave and hid my face in Leos chest, he kissed my head and whispered to Alex something “baby come here! I have future queen!” he looked down and I waked his head and he laughed looking at my feet “plus she’s wearing converse!” the crowd began to whisper before going back to their own things. A small girl around my age came towards us wearing a silvery white slowing dress, she kissed Alex on the cheek and turned to us. Her nose turned up at Leo but her mouth gave off a smile “freak!” “nerd!” “loser!” “worst prince!” “ugly new husband!” “she’s too good for you!” “she’s the reason we fell off her bike and she broke her arm!” “you smell!” “Alex smells!” “your girlfriend doesn’t actually like you!” “Alex only wants your money!” “you only want her to become king!” “I do not I actually really really really really really really like her!” “liar!” “I gave mother the royal ring for her to wear on a different finger!” “you didn’t!” “I did!” the girl turned to me and lifted my left hand and looked at my index finger were the ring sat “HOLY MOTHER FUDGE!” I looked terrified at this point because I was rather enjoying the bickering and so was Alex but now I was worried, I took back my hand and backed into Leos chest “who is she!” I whispered and I felt his chest rumble with laughter “her name is Meredith!” I smiled and waved at her “I’m going to call you mere its just your names like super odd to pronounce!” she nodded, tilting her head to the side she frowned “what’s with the accent blue? And the name?” I smiled at her brightly “I’m American and my names aqua azul airheart but I go by blue apart from when its Leo and April they all me azul or aqua!” she smiled and took my hand “let’s eat!” and that’s how the night went eating and dancing around in a bridal style manner or on Leos feet!

“OMG AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!” my eyes shot open and Leo pushed me behind him and brought his hands over his chest in a defensive manor. I looked over Leos shoulder at the four most beautiful women I have ever seen all identical in looks but two younger and more bouncier than the other two, I started to remove Leos dress shirt that was crumpled from sleep and tried to lift it over his head, Leo turned round and gave me a questioning look  all I could do was nod down at my underwear and he had his shirt off and over my head in seconds letting nothing show to his sisters. The squealing started again and Leo leant down to my ear “sorry about them!” he kissed my lips and turned to all four girls “SHUT! UP!” they were all so instantly silent I cold hear the hum of Leos heart beating as I held him round the waist from behind, they all stood in a row and that’s when he reached behind at me and dragged me forward and onto his lap. The girls gapped at me in wonder and I pulled my hair into a bobble self consciously “girls meet blue, azul meet summer and sky who are the oldest at thirty, then there is shay and phoebe who are older than me by six years at 25!” I waved and flashed them s mile “why can’t we call her azul?” Leo did a funny little growl “that’s my name for her!” a chorus of ahhhh’s broke out between them and I blushed like crazy hiding my face in the crook of his neck “see you at the family reunion dinner, oh and Leo you’ll get to see your nephews for like the first time! Blue its thanks to you this s happening you know everyone round the same table!” she smiled brightly and they all paraded off. Once they were all gone I took my head from his neck and smiled “thank you for last night I loved it!” Leo smiled his full blown toothy smile “well that was a last minute change of plan as they got engaged yesterday and all but a proper date we will go on tomorrow!” I giggle “I’ll check my schedule!” Leo chuckled lightly and lay back making me fall onto his chest “so azul I’ve been thinking that even though we haven’t known each other for ages and all but last night calling you my girlfriend fill me with some sort of pride. I was wondering if you didn’t want to just say it because it sounds odd to say were dating, ergh what I’m trying to say is. Will you do my the honour of being my girlfriend.
