You were (y/f/n), you were 18 years old, you had (h/c) hair, you had (e/c) eyes, and you were free. What do you mean by that? You had been locked away by your aunt ever since you were born. Your mother had died when you were born and your father died saving one of his friends when he was in the survey corps. That was all your evil aunt would tell you about them. She was forced to take care of you after they died and all she saw you as was a problem. So she kept you locked in your home. You had always thought that that was how life was. Until she died herself. She had died and people came to your home, looking to tell you the 'bad' news. Your first steps outside amazed you. The smell, the sound, the feel, and look was all so different from your tiny little home. You decided to take a walk around and see what this world had to offer.

You quickly found that nobody would lock away their children, so why did she? How come she never let you leave. She would always say that locking kids away from the outdoors was what everyone did with their kids. Well, being the age of ten when she said that and never seeing another human being, you believed her. "Wait! Miss (l/n)!" You heard someone shout. You turned to see one of the people who had come to your priso- I mean house earlier.

"Um, yes?" You replied.

"Your aunt left you this." He handed you an envelope.

You took it carefully and fiddled with it in your hands. "Thanks." You muttered. You walked away and sat by a tree and opened the letter.

Dear (y/n), if you're reading this, then I'm most likely dead. So now might be the time to tell you that never really liked you. I'm not completely sure why I kept you locked away. I guess I just liked to watch you suffer. But anyway, have a good life you nasty kid.

You let out a sigh. Was I happy that she was gone? A little. Was I sad that she was gone? I don't think so. Maybe it was the fact that she was the only person I ever knew. I sat there under my tree of safety till the sun began to set. Then I got up and wandered around, fascinated by the things I saw. The sky was the prettiest shade of blue and the stars were shining brighter than any lamp you had ever seen. Walking down the street made you feel weird. You continued on your way though until you remembered something. You don't know the way back home.

You began running back the way you think you came from, but came to a brick wall. You took another turn but found the same. You kept running, trying to look for a familiar view to take you home, but found none. You gave up and slid your back down a brick wall. You sat and thought of what to do. You didn't know anyone. You didn't know where to go. So what could you do?

Then a figure appeared in front of you. You looked up to see a man with stunning eyes and raven black hair staring down at you. "You seem lost. I've been watching you run around town like a chicken with its head cut off for about half an hour now." He spoke.

"I am lost." You replied. "I can't find my home."

"You look to be.. what? 18? How could you not know where you live?" He asked a little annoyed.

"This is my first time stepping foot outside my house sir." You explained.

He looked slightly confused. "How is this your first time out of your house?"

"My parents died when I was born so my aunt was forced to take care of me. She didn't like me at all and kept me locked inside to make me suffer."

"Sounds like a fairytale I heard. Rapunzel I think it's called."

"Never heard it... what's a fairytale?"

He pinched his nose. "Did she teach you anything?"

"Of course. Just not useless things like a fairytale. She taught me manners, how to obey, how to read, how to wri-"
