The Legend of a Hero

Part 2: The Mysterious Reploid

Hikari had been cautiously moving around the city for a few hours now. It had gotten quiet ever since that mysterious reploid ordered his maverick squad to fan out and search for him.

It was now midnight and he could see several mavericks up ahead using flashlights to search the area. The mavericks looked strikingly similar to Neo Arcadians but held a small difference in appearance. A maverick quickly aimed his flash light in hikaris direction as hikari quickly dashed behind a building.

The maverick slowly approached the area hikari was near and looked around until it came across the building he was behind and attempted firing at him. Before he could though hikari grabbed his arms, put his foot on the mavericks chest and ripped his arms off. After doing so he shot the maverick in the head with his own buster. Several mavericks heard the ruckus and decided to investigate.

Hikari once again was able to escape pretty fast. All this running was getting him nowhere, what was he to do? He then remembered the doctor saying something to him before he left. The words of his creator echoed in his head

Dr Light: 'Find X and Zero!'

Who were those reploids he was talking about? How would he even find them? One thing was for sure. He needed to escape the area and hiding wasn't a good way to do so. He pulled out his buster and gripped it tight.

Hikari: 'I have to fight..', he thought in his head.

Hikari ran out in the open and sprinted towards an exit to the area. It was a few miles away but he'd be able to reach it. As the exit got closer and closer to him he continued running as he began feeling anxious until he bumped into a shadowy figure. The figure had one glowing yellow eye and looked similar to him only he was more worn out.

The figure growled at him. A small group of mavericks gathered around as the reploid clenched his fist and grabbed hikari by the neck.

???: "who...the hell...ARE YOU!!"

Hikari: "I am hikari. The doctors final creation.."

The reploids eyes widened. He had now noticed the extreme similarities between hikari and him in appearance.

???: "I will dispose of you filthy trash...since you shall die here and now I will tell you my name... I AM VILE, THE ORIGINAL HIKARI!!!"

After saying those words he dashed towards hikari in rage and blistering fury...
