Lets Play Darling

*Angel's POV*

I'm so glad Evangeline and Jackson are gone. Now we can get back to our normal routine. Kassy gets taken to her room and me and Eric go down to the chambers.

I get out one of the newer recruits for Mr. Gray to use. He doesn't seem as exited about torture as he usually is, and it's concerning.

"You don't have to do this every day. I'm sure they won't mind missing a day" I say, hoping he will open up about whatever is going on.

"You're right Angel. You put her up please" He heads upstairs.

I put the girl up and chase after him. "Is everything okay?" I ask once I catch up to him.

"Not really. But I'll survive" He replies.

He must be like this because Evangeline visited today. 

*Mr. Gray's POV*

Angel's attempt at trying to pry was pitiful. He knows I don't break that easy, but who cares. I had more important stuff to deal with. Kassy's dream is very concerning to me and I need to get to the bottom of what it means.

She told me that her dream was about a true event that happened to her. But why would the queen be there? Why would her parents need to hide her? Is she a danger to me? Maybe her parents didn't tell anyone she existed. Maybe they thought she was a mistake, that she shouldn't have been born. But how could a girl so kind come from a family like that?

It just just doesn't seem right. I should go ask her about that sometime soon. Actually now that I think about it I barely know anything about her.

I go to my room, where I left her, to try and talk with her. "Kassy darling?" I say opening the door.

I get no response and look at the bed to see her peacefully sleeping. She looks so calm and happy here.
