Kiss of saviour (Newt)

In the scorch it was running for our lives. None-stop. When we first escaped the cranks Aris saved my life he was my hero. Newt my actual boyfriend was not so happy with that when I gave him a kiss on his cheek. It's not like I wanted to date Aris now. No not at all. Newt and I fought quite a lot about it. And when we lost the group things got pretty serious.

"Do you love him?" Newt asked when we were walking in the middle of nowhere.
"For the hundred time. No I love you." I said getting annoyed.
"You don't look like you do." He said.
"I do but stop whining about it. It was a kiss on his cheek." I said.
"So now it's my fault." Newt asked.
"Just stop talking and you won't get hurt. Come on let's go up here so we can get a better view" I said.

We were climbing a staircase of a fallen building so it was more rock climbing. I fell through a door on a window. My head hurt.

"Princess?" Newt asked concerned.

Cranks were coming. Newt lowered himself into the room and held on to some furniture. I looked down and panicked. No I'm not afraid of heights but what would you do it you were lying on a window.

"I'm here, grab my hand." Newt said and reached out for you.
"I can't!" I said.

A crank popped his head around the corner.

"Jump and do it fast." He said.

Now or never. I jumped. The crank fell simply through the window. Newt was holding me up.

"Please don't let me go." I said terrified.
"I'm going to let go slowly step on the window frame." Newt said.
"This is not how I planned escaping." I said and did as he asked.
"Now walk to the other side I'm right behind you." Newt said.
"Newt I'm scared." I said and a tear fell from my eyes.
"You are the most wonderful girl I have ever known. You are a genius. If someone can do this, then it's you, for sure." Newt said.
"Thanks but if someone can do it it's you." I replied
"I love you." He smiled.
"I love you too, my hero." I smiled.

I don't know how but we both survived. I hugged him tight.

"It's been a very long time since you've done that." He said.
"I love you and I can't imagine a life without you." I sobbed.
"I love you too." Newt smiled.
"You better, because only then I can do this." I paused and kissed him intense.
"I like that." Newt smiled.
"So no more whining about that stupid meaningless kiss on the cheek of Aris." I said.
"I promise you that nothing will ever make us fight ever again."
"Oh no I would appreciate honesty but that was a stupid kiss on the cheek and you Newt need to trust me more. I chose you out of a bunch of boys, because I fell in love with who you are and no one is a better you than you are." I said.
"I love you." He smiled.
"Thank god. Because I love you too." I smiled and kissed him.

We made up in the best way you can think off. We didn't care that it was in the middle of the scorch. We were together and nothing could break us apart. Okay cranks could but that's not fair those things are insane creatures.
