Snow White's POV*
I could not help but smile as I stared at the beautiful baby in my arms. She was perfect, everything I had ever wanted and more than I could have ever dreamed. Emma was a real fairytale come true. Her eyelids fluttered and two beautiful green eyes staring up at me. "Hi," I cooed to her, my smile growing wider. "Welcome to the world Emma. I love you,"I craned my neck so I could kiss her forehead ever so softly. Emma just gurgled baby noises to herself and I continued to bump her in my arms, up and down, up and down. I read in one of Belle's books that babies' like that. I was still rocking Emma this way when Charming rushed in, closing the door behind him. "Charming?" I asked alarmed.
"Snow, it's time," He said solemnly.
I stared at the baby in my arms once more, not ready to lose her, give up all her precious moments. "Charming, I'm not ready-" I began but stopped myself. It had to be this way, Emma was the saviour and Emma had to do this.
"Snow," Charming rushed over and wrapped his strong arms around us both. "I can't bare the thought of losing our daughter either but we must have faith and know that she will come back and find us. That she will break this curse and save us all as the Dark One prophesized." He informed me although I knew he was ready to cry at the idea of losing his baby girl.
"James," I whispered placing a hand on his cheek and his lips found mine, kissing me passionatetly. Tears slid down my cheeks and I kissed Emma goodbye. "Good-bye, Emma." I whispered.
Charming scooped up our daughter and bounced her in his arms. He kissed her forehead and tears slipped out of his eyes. He shot me a look and then pulled out his sword charging in to the dark hallways.
I rolled over on to my side and sobbed, smothering my face in the pillows.
Charming had been gone a while and I managed to get on my feet. I waddled down the hallway and found him breathing heavily, lying across the floor in front of the chamber. "CHARMING!" I exclaimed and sprinted over to him. "Charming, love, what happened?" I cradled his head in my lap and pressed my hands to his wounds.
"She got...away," He managed gasping for breaths and motioning towards the chamber.
Then the doors to the hallway slammed open and there she was. The Evil Queen, Regina. She smiled at me, a cocky two-faced smile but a smile nonetheless. "Where's the princess, Snow White?" Regina bent down and placed her long bony finger under my chin.
I tore my head away and stared straight at her. "She got away. Can't you see that you will always lose? You will never win, Regina. Good wins. All bad does is make that wretched hole in your heart grow bigger and you will just be lonelier.Don't you want love? Love is happiness."
"Love is weakness, you fool," Regina cackled swiftly walking away. She opened the chamber and there was no sign of the baby. Emma was truly gone. That hurt but in a bittersweet way. I knew she would save us all. A cloud of purple was raging toward us and the only reason I noticed was because it shook the castle walls.
Regina laughed as the wall got closer and closer and then suddenly it stopped in its tracks. It rolled away, and vanished into thin air. "No," I said boldly standing up and taking Charming's sword. "It's strength!" I swiped it at her and it cut a slash across her cheek. Ruby red blood appeared almost instantly and Regina gasped in shock and pain.
"No, no, no!" She shrieked grabbing at her face. "This is all wrong! How could it not have worked? How!?" Her eyes were huge and terrified.
"I don't know, but if I were you I would run, far far away before I decide to kill you or someone else does it for me!" I shouted at her and suprisingly she listened. Like a scared dog that had just been chastised she backed away slowly and then ran out of sight. I smiled proud of myself and then bent down to Charming. "You're gonna be okay, we all are."

"He should be fine with rest, Your Majesty," the blue fairy informed me. I had called her immedietly and she hurried over with an elixir to heal Prince Charming.
"And what about my daughter? What should become of her now that the curse has not been enacted? How shall I get her back?" I asked urgently.
"You don't," Blue said solemnly. "What's done is done and can not be undone. I'm sorry, Your Majesty, but the princess is gone."
"NO!" I screamed at her throwing a vase of flowers at the wall. Blue flinched away from me and Charming's eyes flew open on the bed where he had been resting. "I don't believe you," I hissed in anger. "There is always a way, if there is no way then she has won. I have lost, and good does not lose!" I raised my hands in fists and Charming caught me from behind, wrapping his arms around me.
"Snow, there is always a way," Charming whispered softly to me. "But this," he lowered my hands and unclenched them. "Is not the way."
"Perhaps the Dark One will know of a way to get her back but beware, he has many tricks and lies," Blue Fairy said as parting words before flying out.
"Charming, I want Emma," I cried softly in to his chest. "She's out there somewhere all alone and cold, after traveling through a magic portal all by herself."
"We will get our daughter back-"
"That's it!" I exclaimed. Why had I not thought of this earlier? "A portal! All we have to do is think of Emma and it will take us to her, right?"
