A Wedding..?

The ceremony didn't last very long, luckily. There's nothing worse than a wedding ceremony that drags on and on. My cheeks nearly hurt by the end of it, from smiling so much. Bill looked at Fleur like she was the only thing that mattered in the room. It was so romantic.

After the chairs we sat in were lifted, tables lined the outskirts of the dance floor. People rushed up to congratulate the newlywed couple, including my parents, after giving me a happy wave.

"Harr- Barney, cop hold, let's grab a table before they're all taken!" Ron hisses at his cousin, grabbing me by the arm and pulling me along. "Not there! Nowhere near Muriel!" He shouts, making Barney do a complete U-turn.

As we make a beeline for an empty table, I find Ron glancing around, anxiously. I'm sure it has something to do with that Hermione girl.

When we reach the tables furthest away from this 'Muriel' woman, they're all occupied. They approach a table with a girl seated all alone. She was the one who came in with the brightly-dressed man. She's got on a bright yellow dress as well.

"Alright if we join you?" Ron asked the girl.

She looks to us all, with a far-off smile on her face.

"Oh yes," She nods. I take a seat beside Ron, across the table from her. "Daddy's just gone to give Bill and Fleur our present," She explains why she's seated all alone.

"Luna, this is a family friend of mine, Dia." Ron introduces me, "Dia, this is Luna Lovegood, a friend of ours from school." He explains.

The girl holds out her hand, and I take it in mine, giving her a firm handshake. She seems nice, a little bonkers, but still rather nice.

"You have very, very large eyes." Luna tells me, bluntly. Instead of blushing, or acting all uncomfortable, I just let out a small laugh. But, Ron doesn't find her odd comment as amusing.

"Luna!" He hisses, "I'm sorry, Dia, I'm sure she didn't mean it in a bad-" He speaks quietly to me, apologizing for his friend.

"Since when has having large eyes a bad thing? I think they're lovely. Large eyes are a sign of creativity," Luna explains, smiling at me.

Again, I find myself letting out a small laugh. I rather like this girl. She's very unique.

"There you are, I thought you all bailed out of the reception," Someone sighs, coming from behind me.

I turn around to see Hermione hurrying over to our table. Out of the corner of my eye, I watch as Ron sits back in his seat, an angry frown settled on his face. I try my best to not make judgements on this girl I don't even know.

"Wasn't that such a beautiful ceremony?" She smiles, taking a seat beside Barney.

"Didn't look like you were watching the ceremony," Ron grumbles under his breath, barely loud enough for me to hear.

"What was that, Ron?" She asks, defensively.

The high tension that has took over the table makes me fidget in my seat. Poor Barney, who's seated in between the two of them. He just pretends as if he hears none of it.

"Nothing," He shakes his head, just in time for the band to start playing and Bill and Fleur take the dance floor.

As we all applaud for the newly married couple dancing away on the dancefloor, I can't help but to feel bad for Ron. Amidst all this romance, he's having troubles with Hermione. They don't seem very matched, though I must say. I always imagined Ron to marry a very playful, funny girl, much like himself.

After a few minutes of Bill and Fleur dancing, their parents join them. Mr. Delacour dancing with Molly; and Arthur dancing with Mrs. Delacour. They all looked so happy, I find myself smiling, yet again.
