Chapter three
*Zara*
"Let me get this straight, you want me to come on the date and leave halfway so that you can ask him to be your boyfriend?" I asked Noah and he nodded. "Noah, that's messed up. Why do I even need to come? There's no point."
"Because you need to make sure I don't do anything dumb" he said my resting his head on my shoulder.
I snuggled into his side. "You're going to do something dumb either way. And I'll just get in the way. What if he goes in for a kiss while I'm there?"
"I hope he goes in for a kiss" he said with a sigh, tightening his arms around me.
"Noah, Zara, separate please" Mr Malcolm said, walking up to us.
Noah pouted. "But sir, I'm gay, it's not like this is a romance thing. It's just cold."
Mr Malcolm shrugged. "Yeah, I'll let it slide, but if Ms Johnson sees you guys, it's your funeral. She can smell relationships."
"Hey, Noah, Zara" Ezra said, walking over to us, and sitting down. Noah quickly pushed me off of him, making me fall over.
Mr Malcolm laughed. "Yeah, obviously there's a different relationship going on here."
He walked away, leaving Ezra with a confused face. "What's he talking about?"
"Sir thought that Zara and I were dating" Noah explained, standing up.
Ezra stood up, looking concerned. "Well, are you dating?"
"Don't be daft, I invited you out on a date, why would I be dating Zara?" Noah asked, rolling his eyes.
"Wait, tonight was a date?" Ezra asked slowly. I sighed. Fuck, this wasn't going to be pretty.
"You didn't know that tonight was a date?! Are you saying that you wouldn't want to go out on a date with me?!" Noah demanded angrily. Instead of waiting for an answer, he walked off, holding his head up high.
Ezra's bottom lip wobbled, as he turned to face me. "Did I say something wrong?"
I took him into my arms as he cried onto my shoulder. I sighed. "You know that Noah is hot headed, he's probably just embarrassed. Ezra, you don't have like him back or feel pressured to go on a date with him, if you don't want to. But if you do, there's an easy solution."
"I do like him" he said, sniffling and pulling away. "What's the solution?"
"Seriously, it's so obvious. He has a massive, embarrassing crush on you, and you have one right back. Go follow him now, literally don't say anything, grab his shirt and pull him in for a kiss" I said, squeezing his shoulder. "Don't tell him I told you, but he's really into the rough grabbing, and kissing."
He nodded, rubbing his eyes. "Okay, thank you so much, Zara. I'll let you know what happens."
He ran off in the direction Noah had gone, and I sighed, starting my journey to the cafeteria to buy some lunch for myself. Charlotte popped into my view. "Hey, I'm so sorry for last night. Anyways, I need some help with something, and I was wondering if you were willing to lend a hand. Help out a brother."
"Help out a brother?" I asked, laughing. "What are you, some black male gangster?"
She just laughed back, smiling. "I'll be Betty White, if that's what you want, as long as you help me. So, this is the problem, I think Luke likes someone else. See, the thing is, he's always willing to go on dates, and make out, but as soon as I try to go the whole way, he chickens out."
