7th Month of Pregnancy

"Hon, why is your face looking like that?"

I sat up to see Gunner sitting in his favorite chair in the living room. I was on the couch, rubbing my huge stomach when a pain went threw my stomach. The pain was horrible and made me take deep breathes.

"Gunner, stop being an asshole." I yelled at him. I felt the pain come back but worse. My muscles cramped together. In. Out. In. Out. "Deep breathes, babe. Deep breathes." Gunner had came over to me and put his left hand on my lower back and held my right hand with his other hand. Tears had started to come to my eyes and stream down my face.

"Babe, what's wrong?" Gunner cried. I started to lean back and lay back down on the couch. I wiped the tears away with my free hand. I looked over at a worried Gunner. Gosh, he's so cute. "Nothing, Gun. Just the hormones."

He helped me up and back to the bedroom. I sat up against the head board while Gunners head was on my lap or legs. He was watching tv while I was playing with my diamond ring. I smiled at the thought.

Gunner had proposed three months ago at the beach. I had broken up with Wes a month or two ago. We were walking, hand in hand, down the Long Beach. The sun was setting and there was barely any people on the beach. Gunner had a smile on his face the whole day and was a little crazy. He kept giving me little kisses then and there.

He had pulled me up to the salty water shore and got down on one knee in front of me. Me being very dumb, I said: "Gunner, you're going to get your pants dirty and wet if you sit right there! We can sit on the dry sand."

He laughed and pulled out a velvet box.

"Charlotte, when I met you, you were just a target but now look at us. We're having a child in a few months and I can't wait. You've challenged me and put up with my issues and just being a plain ol' asshole and I've loved every second of it. Seeing the way you blush when I compliment your outfit or when you make breakfast and I give up a hug of appreciation. You're an amazing women and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you, Charlotte Wenden, marry me?"

By then, I had tears coming out like a waterfall. I said yes and got the gorgeous ring. The few people around us have an applause. I was on cloud 9 that whole weekend.

Back to present, we haven't touch the wedding plans. We were just waiting for our little kid to come and we'll see after that.

I closed my eyes and tried to sleep. Sleep was about to come over when water trickled down my leg. I looked down and saw the water. I shook wake Gunner and told him the news. He rushed to get the bag and grab a couple of extra things. I tried to get my shoes on but my stomach was in the way. Gun had to help me put on my shoes and help me stand up.

Once, we got into the car, Christian was in his car seat and we drove off to the hospital.

Gunners POV

"Gun hurry but don't speed, we don't need another ticket to pay for." Charlotte cried.

I rolled my eyes. She's always so stressed. I hope she is okay going into labor. If I was a girl I would go crazy. Why do I think of these things?

"Gun watch the road!"

I swerve back on to the road.

"Sorry babe, I was just deep in thought." I said.

Finally after 15 minutes, we get there. I walk her in there and they give her a wheel chair immediately. I stand at the door with my mouth in fear and my eyes in shock.

This. is. actually. happening.

I can't do this. I can't do this.
But my legs force me to walk on without a single fault.

They have her on a bed when I walk in into the crowded room but they told me I might want to stay out.

"No, I'm supporting my fiancée I don't care what you say."

"Sir, you really should stay out."said the male nurse.

"No." I demanded.

I stayed in there and I fought with all my might.

I could have turned around and walked right out.

"Honey, Are you doing ok?" I ask Charlotte.

"You really think I'm doing ok?" she shouted.

"You're so funny, I love your sarcasm."I smiled at her. She's in labor and still a comedian.

She screams and it hurts to see her in pain. Hurts me and my ear drums.

I hold her hand and she squeezes it tight.

"It's ok, babe, just don't break my hand."

She smirks at me and gets back to what she's doing. She's breathing hard. Really hard. The nurses are finally bringing in the pain medicine. They stuck the biggest needle in her back and she stopped screaming. She became much calmer.

Thank god.

Charlottes POV

He looked really scared. I looked over. "You look like you've never been to a birth before."I said.

"Well first time for everything." He shouts back.

"Yeah, first time having a baby" I said scolding.

Wow. This. Is. actually. Happening.

"Eight centimeters Ms.Wenden. Get ready to push." A nice nurse told me. The doctor came in and introduced himself. Dr.Simms got ready and when I reached ten centimeters, I looked over at Gunner.

His eyes filled with love and want. He looked back and kissed my lips. "Are ya'll ready to see your first child?" asked Dr.Simms.

Gunner and I both nodded and heated those words.

"One."

"Two."

"Three."

Breathe in. Breathe out

"Push!"
