Gunner's POV
"Is she ever going to wake up?"
"Dude, she just gave birth. Give her a break." Brent said.
She's been asleep for about 12 hours now and she has me worried. The nurses keep saying that it's normal for this to happen.
May, a nurse, came in and checked up on Charlotte, Daisy, April, and Jeremy.
When Charlotte was in active labor, we said that her stomach was abnormally big and wondered why. Dr.Simms did a ultrasound and heard three separate heart beats. We both were surprised and didn't know what to think about it. Now, we have two girls and a little boy.
Brent came in about three hours ago and has helped me with the kids.
"Brent, I need to leave the gang." I announced. His face was stone cold. "Why?" He asked.
"You're really asking me why? I have three kids and a fiancé to take care of. My line of work could hurt or worse, kill them all."
"Gunner, I think you're thinking too much about these people. They could survive with out you."
"No, I won't leave my kids and the love of my life out there alone in the world. I'm not leaving them."
"Well then I'm leaving right now." He announced. "Right now."
"Looks like your leaving." I said looking down at all three kids.
"Yeah I'm walking out right now." Brent said and walked out of the room.
"Yep."
He walked back into the room. "Are you sure?"
"Yep, I can live without my gang, I never really liked it. I always felt bad for my victims." I said.
"Gun, I've felt bad for them too but you can't just quit on them."
"Only Charlotte calls me Gun, not you. And I just did."
"Okay." He said, walking out.
2 hours later
I put my hand in Charlottes hand. "Charlotte, babe are you awake?"
She opened her eyes and looked at me. "Yes, can I hold my babies?"
"Yeah here they are." I said excitedly.
Charlottes POV
Gun looked so much more mature holding our kids. One in his right and one is his left and the other in the crib.
He gave me Daisy first then Jeremy, then last April.
I held them tight and tried to sit up but I failed. Gun reached in and caught my head from hitting the bed too hard.
"You okay?" He asked.
"Yeah I'm fine."
"Don't scare me like that again."
"Ok." I said partially laughing.
Daisy was the biggest. She had blonde peach fuzz and her eyes were turning a greenish brown. I think she's going to have the type of eyes that change by the day and her mood. My mom had those eyes. I have plain brown eyes. Gun has sparkling blue eyes.
Jeremy was middle size. But the heaviest. He had dark brown hair that was quickly growing. He came out with a small patch on the top of his head. He still had blue eyes but they may change.
April the smallest and lightest. She had caramel hair with blue eyes just like Gun's. I don't want to pick favorites but I loved holding her and her eyes were so beautiful.
"Gunner, what are we going to do with three kids?" I asked. "We were only suppose to have one."
Gunner took a deep breath. "Babe, plans change. That's life."
"I'm worried. What if there is something wrong with them? I don't think I could be a mom of three at the same time."
"Charlotte, you're over thinking everything. You're going to be a fantastic mom and I'll be there to help. If something goes wrong, we'll tackle it together. We're a team." Gunner said softly. I smiled up at him and kissed him. The nice slow kiss ended when Daisy started to cry. Gunner rushed over to her and cradled her in his arms. Jeremy was the next one to cry while little April slept soundly. As I rocked Jeremy, I thought I could do this. Now, I really believe it.
