It was true, I lasted weeks and weeks trying to decipher; watching television commercials, looking for signs on the streets, I even bought magazines, as you said, I looked at the programs you said, and I walked through that new plaza which had opened in the city recently. But I found nothing that could disturb you or could show my privilege. Then, tormented, I went to your house and asked you: "Monique, I implore you to tell me, please."

"One question, did you do what I asked you to?"

"Yes."

"Did you see the big posters and all the advertising?"

I nodded.

"Did you see programs that I said, bought the magazines I told you, places you visited?"

"Yes, I did, and I don't find the strange, I don't find anything different."

"You've said it all", you raised your shoulders. And then you went to your room asking to no be bothered by anyone.

Monique, I was sitting there a long time, I even flipped through all the magazines at your home, and only when I did I understood. You were right with what I had said: there was nothing different, everything was the same, everyone was like me and almost no one was like you, nobody.
