Addy's pov: I heard a creak from my door. I knew it was Lexi. Sister instincts. She was shaking and clutching her stuffed cat in her arms. I let her come in bed with me and asked what was wrong.
A huge clap of thunder and lightning went off outside and Lexi started crying. I tried to comfort her, but she said the storm was scary. She wanted me to sing mom's lullaby. I knew it really well as mom has sung it for me ever since I was Lexi's age. I began to sing and she calmed down. I love my baby sister.
I woke up the next morning with Lexi still wrapped around me. I tried not to wake her as I crept out of bed into the kitchen. Mom wasn't up yet, so it was just me and Luna. I gave her breakfast and went to wake up Lexi a.d mom for breakfast. Yes, I can cook. I learned when I was 8.
From mom...
Regular pov:
Addy slowly opens the door to her room and begins to wake Lexi.
She had her blanket and toy in her arms and looked adorable.
"Lexi?"
Addy calls softly to wake her.
"Mhm..."
Murmurs Lexi.
"Lexi, It's morning, time for pancakes your favorite!"
Addy calls cheerfully.
"PANCAKES!"
Lexi was immediately awake and hugged Addy who giggled.
"I know your exited Lexi, but mommy's still sleeping."
Addy wispers.
"Hey Addy, can we go wake up mommy?"
Lexi wispered, well tried to wisper.
"Sure, follow me and talk soft ok?"
Lexi nodded.
Addy slowly opened the door to her mom's room, approached the bed and gently spoke to her mother.
"Mom?"
"It's morning, I made pancakes."
Addy wispered.
*Snore*
Lexi jumped on Elena's bed.
"MOMMY WAKE UP IT'S TIME FOR BREAKFAST!"
The 5 year old shouted cheerfully.
Elena groaned and looked up at her daughter's, opening one eye.
"Morning mom."
Addy Said gently knowing her mom was usually tired in the morning.
"Hi girls, how did you sleep?"
Elena asked smiling and rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
"Ok, there was a loud thunderstorm last night and it scared Lexi so I sang her your lullaby.
Addy smiled proud.
Elena smiled too.
"Thank you For taking care of her Addy, those thunderstorms really frighten her.
"No problem mom, I love Lexi, and I don't want her to be scared."
"MOMMY, ADDY COME ON IM HUNGRY WAKE UP!"
Lexi called from downstairs.
Elena and Addy laughed and replied...
"COMING!"
They went downstairs and began too eat the pancakes Addy prepared.
"Mmm!" "you did a wonderful job on these Addy, their delicious!"
Beamed Elena.
"Thanks mom, I learned from the best!"
"Who, me?"
"I burned them last time!"
Laughed Elena playfully.
"Your sill a r'eat ook!"
Said Lexi with a mouthful of pancakes.
Elena laughed.
"Thank you Lexi."
After the family finished their pancakes, Elena had an idea.
"Girls, how about we go to the park?"
"Yay!" "The park!"
Lexi cheered.
Addy loved the park too, she loved the jungle gym and the ice cream that they sold there.
The family got dressed and drove to the park.
"Addy, Addy!"
Shouted Lexi excitedly.
"Can you push me in the swing?"
"Of course Lexi, hop on and I'll push ok?"
Lexi nodded.
She climbed on and Addy began to push.
"Higher, Addy Higher!"
Lexi squealed.
"Ok, hold on!"
"Addy, can we go on the slide now?"
Lexi asked.
Addy stopped the swing.
"Sure, let's go!"
Addy and Lexi ran to the big slide.
"Addy, can you slide with me?'
"Of course Lexi!"
Addy sat on the slide.
"Here Lexi, you can sit on my lap ok?"
"Ok!"
Addy slid down and lexi held on to her sisters hands.
"That was fun Addy!"
Lexi giggled.
"Girls?"
"Are you ready for some ice cream?"
Elena called.
"Yes mommy!"
"Ok, come on!"
They all went up to the ice cream cart.
"I'll have chocolate!"
Said Lexi.
"Strawberry for me please!"
Addy Said.
"I'll have a sherbet please!"
Said Elena.
They got their ice creams.
"Thank you!"
They all called.
They all sat on their favorite bench and enjoyed their ice cream.
Afterwards, they all went home.
"Thanks for today mom!"
Addy Said hugging her mother.
"It was so much fun mommy, thank you!"
Lexi said joining in on the hug.
"Your very welcome girls!"
Luna walked in to the kitchen to complain.
"Oh Luna, did you miss us?"
Asked Elena, picking up the kitten.
"Meow!"
Luna meowed sadly.
"Awww!"
Said Lexi hugging Luna.
That was the perfect start to the day.
