Chapter eleven

Me: hellooo and welcome back to-
Everyone: NALU: THE PIRATE DUO!
Mira: LE NALU!
Me: I know Mira.
Natsu: is she ok?
Lucy: probably not.
Mira: I AM PERFECTLY FINE!
Wendy: are you sure Mira?
Me: you're being very loud...
Mira: I AM FINE! NOW START PLEASE!
Me: fine, lets start.

We entered the library. It was rather large on the inside. The room was small at the front, but it then went into a larger and high ceiling room. The high ceiling room was dark brown with dark blue supports. There were rows upon rows of empty bookshelves. As we went further in, the wood turned to stone and the blue turned to gold. Eventually, it turned into a stone tube with gold markings everywhere.

"Look at this place..." Melody says as she investigates some markings.
"It's really weird..." I say. Natsu looks like he hears something.
"What is it Natsu?" Happy asks.
"We're not alone..." He says.

I pass Nashi to Happy who flies up to a safe height. Natsu lights his hand on fire. Melody prepares to attack and I reach for my keys. I hear some...scurrying?

Pretty soon, large golden, machine-like spiders come running down the hallway.
"What the hell?" I say in confusion.
"AAH SPIDERS!" Melody scream before shooting water at them. The spiders are hit and halt for a minute before continuing.
"Well that helped." I say sarcastically.
"Hey! I tried!" Melody protests.

"FIRE DRAGON ROAR!" Natsu yells. His attack hits the spiders, but seems to be useless.
"What do we do now!?" I half yell.
"Um...." Natsu says while TRYING to think.
"They're electric..." Melody says quietly.
"What?" I ask her.
"ELEMENTAL ELECTRIC SHOCK!" Melody yells. Purple lightning hits the spiders and they explode.

"How did you do that?" I ask Melody as we continue along the tube.
"They were running of electricity, I simply over charged them, causing them to explode." Melody explains.
"Hmph." Natsu says.
"What's wrong with you?" I ask him.
"I wanted to beat them." He says pouting. I hug him from the side while still walking.
"You tried, that's all that matters." I say. He puts his arm around me and we continue on like that.

After about an hour of walking, we had encountered five waves of the spiders. Natsu had been stupid and tried to charge the first wave. I ended up pulling him out before he lost a leg. I've been carrying him since.
"My leg hurts..." Natsu complains.
"Well that's what you get for being reckless." I tell him.
"You don't have to be so mean!" He says.
"Let's rest for a bit." Melody says as we enter a large room. I help Natsu sit down on a raised bit. Happy brings Nashi down who starts smiling when she sees us. I take her and sit down next to Natsu. Melody sits on the floor a bit away from us.

I must've fallen asleep because the next thing I know is Happy waking me up and taking Nashi from me. Melody' Sears prick up.
"Happy, fly up." Melody says. "Natsu, Lucy, prepare to fight." Happy flies up into the air.
"What is it Melody?" Natsu asks.
"Something worse than spiders." She says.

Before I could count to ten, a large golden machine thing appears. It has a sphere at the bottom that rolls when it moves. It's body was a normal person shape. It's head seemed to have a golden helmet for its head. Also, it had no arms.
"ELEMENTAL ELECTRIC SHOCK!" Melody yells. Her attack is.....useless.

"What the hell is that thing?!" Natsu half yells as he attacks. But his attacks are useless.
"I think it was made by dwarves!" Melody replies as she blocks an attack from its shooting body.
"Dwarves!?" I ask as I summon Leo.
"They're an ancient race that lived eons ago." Melody explains as she fuses her attack with Leo's. "Their technology is remarkable compared to ours. Even the current smartest people alive struggle to figure it out."
"Wow..." Natsu says as he roars after Leo and Melody's attack.
"So how do we defeat it?" I ask. Melody pauses for a minute.
"I have an idea." Is all she says.

"Manifesto, demon sword." She says. A large black sword, with purple markings on the blade, appears in her hand. She runs at the machine monster and runs the sword straight through it. She then unsheathes her sword and stabs it again.
"NATSU!" Melody yells. Natsu punches the hilt of the black sword with his hand on fire.
"AAAAARGH!" They both scream as the monster starts to glow purple and red. Soon, the monster explodes. Natsu falls to the floor because he forgot to balance himself and Melody quickly disposes of the black sword.

"What was that sword?" Natsu asks Melody as we ascend some stairs.
"A demon sword, it can destroy anything it touches, if given enough power." Melody explains.
"That's why you needed Natsu to punch the sword." I say.
"Exac-" she's cut off by a loud crash in noise.

"What was that!?" Natsu half yells.
"The boss of this thing." Melody says.
"Happy, keep Nashi at a safe distance" I tell Happy.
"AYE SIR!" He says before flying even higher. We start running towards the loud noise.

We enter a relatively large room. In the centre of the room was another golden machine. It's similar to the last one, but at least three times as big, and with arms and legs.
"Since you seem to know a lot about this Melody, any ideas on how to defeat it?" I ask.
"Uhhhh...." Melody says trying to think. "Hit it until it drops dead?"
"Helpful." I say sarcastically. We all charge at the enemy.

We'd been fighting for several minutes. And we'd done hardly any damage. Melody jumps up to its head and tries to detach its head. She's only thrown to the side. Natsu tries to punch it in the stomach, but it's surprisingly nimble. I summon Scorpio to try and hit it, but it somehow manages to send the attack back at him.
"IT ISN'T WORKING!" I yell.
"NOOOOO, REALLY SHERLOCK!?" Melody yells back.
"DON'T GIVE UP!" Natsu yells as he charges at it once more. He draws his sword, for the first time in what seems forever, and strikes at its legs. It stumbles back. Finally, a weakness.

I draw my sword and charge at it alongside Melody. Natsu strikes at its left leg, while we strike it's right. Eventually, it falls to the floor, but it's still alive. Melody brings her sword up and strikes where the sun don't shine. It falls back and doesn't get back up.
"Let's build robots and give them human weaknesses." Melody says imitating what I assume is a dwarf.
"Come on, there's something over here." Natsu says as he leads us into another room.

The room was circular. It had a bronze mechanism in the middle. Floating in the air was more bronze with some kind of light source. The light from the light source shot outwards onto the ceiling. The ceiling was also bronze, but it had green circles randomly dotted on it. Near it all were stairs that led to a raised bit. On the raised bit were three buttons and a blue cube. Underneath the raised bit was a piece of stone that looked like a door.
"I've heard of these." Melody says. "In order to get out, the lights shining out have to hit the green circles on the ceiling."
"How do we do that?" Natsu asks.
"Those buttons up there move the ceiling around." Melody says." By heating or cooling the light source, we can change where the lights shine."
"Ok then, I'll push the buttons, Natsu and Melody, you heat or cool the light source." I say.

I run up to the buttons with Happy and Nashi. I push the buttons in a random order and Natsu heats the light source, making it expand. One light hits a circle.
"Two more." Melody says. I push the middle button and another light hits a circle.
"Just one more." Natsu says. I push the last button and the ceiling moves. Only, the light doesn't hit it.
"Now what?" Happy asks.
"If I can cool it just enough, it could still hit them all." Melody says.

Melody starts to cool it slightly.
"But more, just a little more, there, stop!" Natsu directs her. The last light hits the circle and the door shape stone falls down. We walk through and enter a black room.
"I don't understand, this should be the way out." Melody says confused.
"It is." A light voice says.

Me: and done.
Lucy: why do I get the feeling it's based off a game?
Me: heheh.....w-why would I do that? *laughs nervously*
Natsu: it's based off Skyrim isn't it?
Me: noooooooo.......fine...yes it is based off Skyrim. I was playing it earlier today, ok?
Mira: I thought it looked familiar.
Me: anyway, everyone say bye.
