“You havin’ fun, LA?! Last two songs and we’re off!” Brian screamed back at screaming fans.
After performing ‘Young’ and ‘The Boys You Do’, The Maine went in and started playing ‘Into Your Arms’ as Stephen prepared his acoustic guitar. He couldn’t seem to find Jess as he scanned The crowd, but hopefully, she’ll hear it.
“We’ve got a special performance, guys! Give it up for The Summer Set Bassist, Stephen Gomez!” Kennedy announced after finishing up two songs and saying goodbye. The crown went wild, sending forth ‘Stephen, Oh my gosh!’, ‘Stephen, I love you so much!’, ‘Stephen fuck me!’s.
As he approached the microphone, he looked rather sober, but he was able to conceal half of it with a smile, when his brother gave him a thumbs up, encouraging him to do what he has been planning to do since then.
“How’re you doin’, LA?!” He greeted everyone. He looked at the sky, becoming a little orange and red as the sun began to set.
“This song’s the song I sing to her whenever she couldn’t sleep. I’ve loved her ever since high school, but I didn’t have the guts to tell her. So now, here it is,”
As the crowd went in to a gasping silence, his eyes searched for Jess in the crowd before him.

Spinning on that dizzy edge,

He sang it so passionately, it silenced everyone. Everything was fine when he thought Jess could hear him, but he stopped mid-short through the song when his eyes landed somewhere at the side of the stage…
