Jess sat upright on her bed, feeling empty. Stephen’s gone, and it’s her fault. She couldn’t st5op him, because he already left. It’s not like he won’t be back, but it feels so wrong. She continued to stay that way when she received a text from her mom-That one text that contained the one statement she would never have wanted to encounter. In panic, she got up and did what any other person would have done.

“What the fuck were you guys thinking, letting Stephen go like that?!” Alahna exclaimed. “Do you have any idea how shattered jess is?!”
The guys looked at each other, feeling worried. Everyone was silent when Jess, finally out of her pajamas, came running past them, towards the driver. What suddenly surprised everyone was the sudden sharp turn the bus made. As Jess came to confront them, she didn’t seem as bothered.
“Jess, what the fuck?!” Brian exclaimed. Jess, teary eyed, looked at them as she grabbed the TV remote from Jared, flipping through the channels until she found CNN.
‘Breaking News: First flight from Los Angeles to Phoenix, Arizona got into an air crash, just a few moments ago. From the looks of it, there are no possible survivors.’
Everyone fell silent for a while, tears trickling down their faces. John G. grabbed his phone and jammed in Stephen’s number. No one answered.
No one could move, no one could breathe. Jess broke the silence, sinking down on her knees, crying and sobbing. Alahna bent down and hugged her.
When they reached LAX, they ran to the reception. The place was crowded with the media, but they managed to get information- the confirmation of the crash.

“Let’s call off the tour,” John O’ suggested as they all sat in the bus lounge. The bus was parked outside of the second LA concert venue. Everyone thought about it when jess finally spoke, for what seemed like hours.
“No,” she said. “We should finish it. Stephen would’ve- would’ve wanted that. Garrett can do his parts,” She said, gulping down the lump that formed in her throat.
“It’s okay, Jess,” Alahna Whispered.
There they sat, untouched food stood on the table, right in front of them.
“I don’t think I can do Stephen’s bass parts. It seems so wrong,” Garrett mentioned, a miserable look was glued unto his face.
“Come on, Gar, please do it. We just have to finish the tour. Steph- he would have wanted you to,” Pat said.
They’ve agreed to continue the tour by the end of lunch. They’ve also decided to get some rest before the concert.
“Stephen, I’m so sorry. I’m sorry I’ve been such a bitch sometimes. You’ve been such a good friend to me. I’m not sure if you know this, but I love you.” Jess whispered unto herself while she laid on her bunk.
“He knew, you know,” John G. appeared and told her.
“Knew what?” She managed to ask.
“He knew that you loved him. He heard you and Alahna talking about one night and he smiled at it. He asked me and the other guys if he could play you an acoustic song yesterday. He played Just like heaven,” he answered gently. Jess couldn’t say anything. She couldn’t even move, with the thought of her heart shattering to pieces.
“He loved you, Jess,”
