His eyes peeled back as he sat up groggily, his shoulders shook under the invisible weight pushing down on his back as he tried to come to his senses. His eyelids weighed down as he tried to adjust to the sudden light in the room. He didn't remember how he had gotten there...
Trying to gather his memories he looked around. The dim light blared down on him, despite how low it was it seemed like a blaring fire coming closer, his eyes slowly adjusted as he tried to make out what was around him. The cream flooring and purple walls surrounded him, locking him in the classroom full of chairs and desks. Rubbing his eyes and looking around closer, he paused, shocked. Across the walls were massive thin sheets of metal, screwed down into the wall, pipes and wires leading up to the roof, entangling in sheets of metal before leading to security cameras, hanging loosely from the roof, looking like they could snap and fall onto his head any second.
Walking slowly towards the front he turned around and stopped suddenly. A flash of white caught his eye as he noticed a note on one of the back most desks. Stumbling over a chair and picking the note up he opened it slowly, reading the curled writing in slightly smudged ink.
'Dear Theo Makati, you have been accepted into Hope's Peak Academy as the Super Duper Highschool Level Gardener. Please report to the gym at 8 a.m. sharp to take part in the welcoming ceremony.'
His eyes flickered up to the clock above the front desk as he paused, '7.40'... twenty minutes left.
He set the sheet of paper back onto the desk, looking behind him. He walked towards the darkly colored door, the only sound being his own breath as he paused pushing it open.
The halls had the same slightly dimmed lights filling them. The walls were a deep purple, almost black whilst the floor was made of wooden planks. The same thin metal sheets covered the walls as he slowly stepped out of the classroom.
With shaky hands he walked down the hall, staring at his feet. His footsteps rung through the otherwise empty halls as he passed by seemingly locked classrooms one by one. As he continued walking around ignorantly, he heard two voices getting louder. Turning a corner hopefully he looked around hurriedly trying to find the source of the voice, just as he turned another corner he heard a male voice shout;
"COME ON THE GYM HAS TO BE THIS WAY!"
"NO IT ISN'T YOU DICK-LOVING COCKSUCKER IT'S THIS WAY!'
He heard a thump, his eyes widening as he peaked around the corner. A girl with black hair and glasses covering her piercing blue eyes had fallen against the wall, her glare turning to Theo. She girl scowled at the boy. She was fair skinned and at an average height, her blouse tucked away neatly into her skirt and her black rectangle glasses rested on her nose, her harsh glare blaring through them.
"What?" she snapped, her cold voice making Theo wince. Standing up and brushing herself off she turned to the boy who had punched her.
The tall boy looked down at Theo, his own small frame shivering as the tall boy stepped closer. He had jet black hair, strands falling everywhere, and his deep green eyes poking out from under it. Folding his arms, Theo took in the boys outfit. He wore a smart white shirt and a waistcoat with smart black trousers. His pale hands were covered in black leather gloves as he scowled at the girl.
"Don't you dare say that you bitch."
"Well isn't someone just a ray of fucking sunshine today?"
Theo cowered back and stiffened, trying to get away from the two. He squeaked an excuse before slowly turning to walk away, his wellington boots tapped against the ground causing the two to stop their bickering back and forth. The black-haired girl quickly turned to the small boy. "Hey! Where are you going?!"
Stiffening in fear Theo spun around and stuttered out "I...I a-assumed you were busy so I was trying to f-find the gym...." trailing off he looked at her hardening glare as he pulled at his hoodies hem.
"Well currently I'm stuck with this bitch over here who doesn't know her right from her left," The green-eyed boy hissed under his breath, crossing his arms. Flicking his finger slightly he gestured towards the raven haired girl, who in turn stuck her middle finger up at him in quick response.
The girl sighed and muttered under her breath, "You know what...nevermind, I'm not going to waste my time on this meaningless crap anyway...hell let's go your way then Mr. Compass," Spitting out the words with poison she turned her head up giving up, her stare reminded Theo of someone who had just lost a bet, but was still to head up her fucking face arse to accept it.
Theo's eyes widened, "M-My way...? I- um..."
The girl shot a glare at Theo as she snapped "referring to that asshole not you...people aren't always talking about you y'know you self centered butt face thing...."
The tall boy looked at raven haired girl blankly, "You tried." pausing for a second he started to walk left as he snapped, "You coming then?" His eyes glared at the pair as he raised an eyebrow, his hand twitching irritated.
Theo paused, then nodded quickly. He started after the lanky teen, before stopping and looking back at the girl.
The girl scowled, her blue eyes flaring "I'm getting there..." She crossed her arms and trudged after them. Her heels dragged against the ground reluctantly as she mumbled under her breath, "Just cause you have lanky ass legs..."
Ignoring her the tall boy strode on, his back slightly hunched over as he muttered to himself annoyed. Stopping he looked around at the rows and rows of identical brown doors leading to classrooms up and down the halls. Pausing he scowled and said "This school is a frikin' maze"
She paused, backing up and looking down a separate hall. At the end was a large lighter brown door, different from the rest of the one's they had continuously passed by. "What about this big ass door?" Scowling repulsed she folded her arms annoyed.
The tall teen spun around to stare at the door he missed. Pausing he nodded sheepishly and said coldly, "I guess..."
Theo looked at the two and paused before slowly stepping forward and pushing his hands against the door weakly, the doors creaked open as they slowly swung back revealing a massive room inside.
The walls were a creamy yellow, metal panels covering them alike the halls, light blared down from rows of bright lights overhead, illuminating the oaken floor and room. A few plants trailed up each wall and rows of chairs were laid out facing the rear end of the hall. They face a podium with the hopes peak logo engraved into the otherwise wise wooden stand. The massive logo hung overhead and sports equipment was strewn around the floor.
There were people around their age scattered across the room, their heads turned to the three at the door. Each of them were spread out throughout the room, their clothes and appearance completely different from one another, The silence weighed down on the room as they all looked at each other silently waiting for someone to make the first move.
The silence was heavy like a thick fog, the tension in the room increasing as the lights flickered and popped over ahead. The light clicking sound filling the Super high school level students ears. Turning his head Theo looked around his pale blue eyes scanning the ultimate's.
He was about to say something before a cold metallic laugh filled the room.
