"These apples are really good," said Sahara as she bit into the green-skinned fruit. The foursome was sprawled out under the large tree, tossing cores aside and reaching for more apples that hung above their heads.

Just as Matt began to drift off into nap dreamland, Sahara reached up for another apple. Pulling it down into her lap, she saw a large wasp sitting in the fruit and she immediately jumped up screaming and running back towards the house.

"Sahara!!" shouted Cola. "Sahara, are you okay??"

The scared girl finally stopped just short of the abandoned house's back door and turned to see Cola jogging towards her. She trembled slightly, wiping away a few stray tears before Cola could see them.

"Sahara," Cola panted, "what happened?"

"There was a wasp on my apple... Ugh! Bugs, especially wasps and bees, just scare me really badly. This is the second time this has happened."

"It is?"

Sahara nodded. "Hoopes said there was a bug on my arm last night and it freaked me out. Turns out it was just a moth."

Cola stifled a laugh, but failed and cracked a small smile; Sahara smacked his arm. "Don't laugh!"

"I'm not, I'm not... Okay, maybe just a little! But I'm sorry! It's just kinda cute when you get angry...! But don't worry, from now on I'll keep all the bugs and wasps away from you."

"You will? Ah that's really sweet of you, thank you."

Cola and Sahara stoot under the back door's awning for what seemed like the longest time in a somewhat awkward silence. They glanced into each other's eyes and Sahara got the sudden urge to lean in and peck Cola's cheek.

Just as Sahara got the nerve up, a high pitched scream came from nearby. In the distance, the pair could see Matt and Hoopes running all over the place and tossing apples about.

"Wonder what's gotten into them?" asked Cola. "Seems like a pretty painful food fight."

Sahara giggled, then turned serious when she realised what could be the problem. "I think they may be fighting off the Hat! Grab any apples you see just in case. Let's go!"

The pair ran in the direction that Matt and Hoopes had also gone, and soon enough they reached the front of the house.

The Hat chased after them, following them across the front lawn and back inside the house, this time they went through a door they had never seen before, which revealed a long hallway with lots of other doors.

"Cola, where's the car parked at?" asked Hoopes.

Cola looked at the now slightly smudged ink on his hand. "Uh, it says Wedgwood and 8th."

"Listen," said Hoopes. "We need to get out and back to the car, or somewhere, and get some help. We should probably stay here for the night, considering it looked like it was going to rain."

"First thing tomorrow we hightail it." said Matt. "Sounds like a plan."
