After the ducks had all been rounded up, with the help of Hamlet, Matt and Jimmy started to scrub his room, but after half an hour, they gave up.

“Fuck this shit!” Jimmy yelled, throwing down his brush. “You made it, you clean it up.” He said, but he cracked a smile as he said it. Matt went and got the phone and Jimmy went and made up a spare bed in the room where they had moved all his stuff to. I let Hamlet out the back door while Matt dialed a number in the kitchen.

“Hey, I have a small room that I need to have cleaned.” He said cautiously. “Yeah, um, a bunch of ducks got in there and they crapped all over. We tried scrubbing it ourselves, but we just couldn’t get it clean. Is that something you guys could do?” He asked. I covered my mouth to stop my laughter and he glanced over at me, grinning. “Oh, perfect. When can you be here?” He asked. “That’d be awesome. Thank you so much.” He relayed the address and hung up. I walked over and he slung his arm around my shoulders.

“How did you come up with that?” I asked. He laughed.

“Krystin gave it to me. When we talked the other day, I presented her with my problem and she said that since he likes ducks so much, we should get him some.” I laughed at my room mate.

“She’s brilliant.” I said. He pressed a kiss to the side of my head.

“Yes, she is.” He sighed. “I have to go into the studio today, me and the rest of the guys. Could you stay here for those people to clean Jimmy’s room?” He asked. I nodded.

    “Absolutely.” He grinned.

    “Thanks.”

“Are you having any luck with the songs?” I asked. He shook his head.

“I’m just not…I know what I want, I just can’t make it be.” He sighed, running a hand through his hair. I kissed his cheek.

“Whatever you create, I’m sure it will be amazing.” He smiled at me.

“Thanks. It’s nice to hear something positive without pressure.” I laughed.

“Sometimes, it helps me if I just write every thought in my head, get everything out. Because when I’m stuck on something, it’s usually because I have too much going on up here.” I said, tapping my forehead. He smiled at me.

“Thanks, Shan.” I flashed him a smile as the front door opened. Brian and Zacky walked back in.

“I still can’t believe Hamlet didn’t kill a single duck.” Zacky sighed, obviously disappointed. I laughed.

“Where did you get them all?” Brian asked Matt. He chuckled.

“Remember Ryan from school?” He asked. Zacky nodded. “Well, he raises them now, so I called him up and I was like, dude-I need like thirty ducks.” I cracked up.

“Did he ask why?” I asked.

“Yeah, but when I said it was to get Jimmy back for a prank, he was agreeing before I even got the sentence out.” Zacky laughed and I frowned.

    “Why?” I asked, confused.

“Jimmy used to terrorize everyone at that school.” Zacky said. “Including me! I remember, he would run around in this bright purple and yellow Kimono with his arms up in the air,” He said, holding his arms up like Dracula attacking, or a zombie walking around. “And just running after everyone, completely terrorizing them.” He said and I started laughing.
