Chapter 29: Emma Comes Out
Cloudia's P.O.V:
I sit on the couch as soon as we get home and turn on the TV. Emma comes and sits next to me. "You ok?" She asks.
"I think so. One less thing to worry about I guess." I shrug.
"You don't sound too happy. Come on, let's play some Mass Effect 3." Emma grabs an Xbox controller and passes it to me. I smile at her as she sets the game up. She knows me so well, Mass Effect is my favourite game trilogy. And luckily Mass Effect 3 has a multi-player function, unlike the others. We work together on the game. We played for a good solid hour before we both got hungry. "You want me to make you sausages and salad?"
"My favourite." Wow, I haven't even realized how much Emma knows about me...
"Mine to." She laughs and walks into the kitchen. I watch her as she cooks. "Why are you staring at me?" I shrug.
"Cause you're pretty." I say and Emma laughs. "What? I'm being serious."
"I know."
"Is it's cause it could mean something different from me?"
"No. It's cause I don't know what it means." She says honestly. I stand up and go over to the counter.
"It means I think you're pretty." She blushes and looks down.
"Well thank you." I smile at her before going back to sit down on the couch. "Cloudia." She says after a short while. I didn't even notice that she had stopped working.
"Yes?"
"There is something I need to tell you." Emma looks at her hands.
"Ok." I give her my full attention.
"I like you."
"I like you too." I smile at her.
"No, I mean I like you." She puts emphasis on the 'like' and my eyes widen.
"I thought you didn't play for that team?" I go over to her.
"No one really does." She sighs. "But I swear if I didn't tell you I would die inside." I smile brightly at her, finally realizing my deep and hidden feelings for my best friend who I thought was out of reach.
"Well, Emma, I like you too." I go into the kitchen and give her a hug and give her a small peck on the lips. I didn't want to go too fast with her as I'm guessing that this was all sort of new to her. Plus I sort of just ended a relationship.
Ashleigh who? I don't even know.
