"Hunter, I thought you loved me." Layla whined.

"You thought wrong. Now put your clothes back on before-"

My bedroom door swung open and Rose angrily walked in.

"So this is why I had to walk home by myself! I'm telling mom!" She slammed the door on her way out.

I forgot I had to get Rose from school because mom had to work later than usual.

"Get out." I told Layla.

She rolled her eyes and stormed out of my room. I went to Rose's room to find her doing homework.

"I'm sorry."

She didn't bother to say a word, let alone look at me. Here goes the silent treatment.

"Rosie-"

"Can you get out please. I'm trying to concentrate." She said coldly.

I walked out, feeling bad. Something could've happened to her and it would've been my fault. We live in a nice neighborhood, but things can still happen.

I just know my mom is going to kill me.

The sound of the keys jingling to open the door made my heart race. Mom walked in with Demitri following behind her. Rose ran down the stairs to give them both a hug.

"So how was school?" Mom asked, plopping down on the couch next to Demitri.

"Mines was good. How about you Hunter?" Rose cut her eyes at me.

"Great." I simply shrugged.

"Was that before or after you had me walk home by myself to bring a girl home?" She folded her arms.

"You did what?" Mom sat up.

Rose turned on her heel and walked upstairs.

"Hunter, are you having sex?" She asked.

"....Yes." I replied nervously.

"I thought we agreed that you would wait and if you felt like you couldn't then you would talk to me first." She raised her voice.

"You didn't wait. You had me a thirteen. At least I'm safe about what I'm doing." I scoffed.

I didn't even see her get off the couch, all I felt was the impact of her slap to my face. She walked off sniffling, but I didn't care. She was being a hypocrite.

"You was wrong for that and you know it." Demitri said in disappointment.

"It's the truth." I replied sharply.

"There's more to the story than you know. You're mom sacrificed a lot for you."

"But-"

"Be a man and go apologize." He demanded.
