Hunter

"You spending all my money growing out of these clothes every other week." My mom mumbled as we looked around for pants.

I think I'm having another growth spurt because I'm growing out of everything like it's nothing. I'm like a beanstalk.

I was lucky to be able to see outside, let alone a mall. My mom beat my ass when I got home. It wasn't for hitting Taylor, but for fighting her. I admit that the slap was needed, but I should've restrained her afterwards instead of beating her like a boy.

"You still love me." I kissed her cheek and she wiped it away. "Don't reject my love for you."

She playfully rolled her eyes, "You talked to Taylor?"

My mom had he doubts about me dating Taylor at first, but then she grew fond of her. Not that it matters now.

"Nope." I said, popping the p.

"I know you miss her." She looked up at me.

"Please. I plenty other bit- girls waiting for Hunter McKinley." I licked my lips.

"They're not Taylor. I think you love her."  She gave me a knowing look.

"Negative." Just like those pregnancy tests.

"There's nothing wrong with it. Young love is cute." She gushed making me cringe. Hunter loves nobody.

"Well I don't love Taylor. She can do her and I'll continue to do me." I shrugged my shoulders, already over this conversation.

"If you say so." She said as if she didn't believe me.

"You don't believe me?" I asked.

She chuckled, "I didn't say that. Maybe you don't believe yourself. I guess you wouldn't care if she was walking with that boy over there."

I almost gave myself whiplash from turning around so fast, "Where?"

"Made you look." She laughed.

"You're more childish than her."

Taylor know better not to associate with any other boy.

"Hunter, why haven't you called me?" Desiree asked when she approached my locker. My first day back and I didn't want to bothered with her today or any other day for that matter.

"My mom took my phone." I lied, hearing Taylor laugh to herself a few lockers down. Maybe because I was too busy calling her only to not get no reply.

"Oh. Well are you going to let me-"

"I'm fine. Look, you're a nice girl and all but I don't want you. Not now, not ever." I told her making her frown.

"Its her. Isn't it?" She glared at me.

"Don't worry about it." I looked beside me to still seeing her standing there. "Why are you still here?"

She rolled her eyes and stormed away. I shrugged my shoulders, not really caring about her attitude. I went to Taylor's locker where she was still laughing to herself.
