Chapter 12 I Have Fallen In Love With Her

Kayano's pov.

Good thing Akira Takaoka didn't notice us. Okuda was so calm and I love that about her..... Huh? What? Did I just..... "Kayano-chan, where do we go now? I seem to let you know where to go. How about you track them ahead or is it too much for you?" Okuda asked worriedly.

"Wha- What?! It's not that much. I have some kicks and punches, you know. I'll protect you anyway. I mean... If you want...." Now what did I just did? "Protect me? Haha!!! From what, Kayano. I'm pretty much prepared from anything. It's you, who need to be protected." Okuda giggled. "From what, Okuda?" "Oh you'll see." That sentence just made me gulped once. I started to walk by the post that I know for sure, is the route to the base. I didn't want to go there because of Okuda being present right now. Nagisa and the other assassins wouldn't like that. But of course, I went to the right instead of left. That'll fool her a little and when that happen, I'd make sure that the sun goes down and sleep with her for tonight in a small hotel....... What?

"Kayano, is something wrong? You just paused just now. Did something caught your foot?" Okuda asked worriedly. "No! Nothing caught my foot! I just realize that um... I didn't sleep very well. I lost track of the road sometimes and I just freaking can't concentrate. Look at my eyes damn it!" I yelled. "Oh... Um... You do look tired and scary I guess? But that's not the case. You really need some sleep, wanna go and rest somewhere else?"

"Yes!" I'm acting strange and I notice it, everytime I see Okuda smiling at me or even do cute stuff. My mind just went blank and full of her. Have I been food poison by the cafe? That's probably not it. It can't be.... Love, right? "Look Kayano-chan, a small hotel on the corner of a huge building." Okuda pointed it out. What?! The hell is that?! It's gloomy and it's also falling apart!

"Let's go and sleep in there alright." Okuda smiled and walked her way to the small hotel. A hotel!? More like a haunted house! Why the hell would she want to sleep there!? "O- Okuda-chan! Wait up." I followed her while hiding behind Okuda's back. This place is really suspicious and scary. When we entered from this creepy small hotel, Okuda ring the bell from the desk when suddenly, a creep came out with a suspicous smile.

"Hello... What can I help you with....?" "Kirara-chan, me and my friend here would love to stay for a while. She's not taking enough sleep. You can tell by looking at her looks." Okuda said. You should have told her that I look tired instead of showing her my looks, Okuda you baka. But then, she knows that creep and this place? Have she been here before? "Okuda-chan.... I would like to take your name please." The creep smiled horribly.

"Manami Okuda." Okuda said. "What about you, green head. What's your name?" The creep asked. "Ka-Kayano... Ka- Kaede...." I stammered. "Okay, Ka- Kayano... Ka- Kaede and Manami Okuda. Your room for tonight would be room 208." The creep said while getting the key from the key holder. She doesn't have to copy what I just said to her. I was finally relief that we went pass that creepy girl but then again, another creep showed up. This time, he has very scary eyes. "Oh my god." I mumbled.

"Hello Okuda-chan, what room number are you today?" The scary-eyed guy asked Okuda. "That would be room 208, Takuya." Okuda said nicely while showing the key to him. Does she know everyone in this small hotel? "This way please. But if you have the time to go and try my Paitan Ramen. It's open for you." He smiled horribly too. I decline!

I'm relief. I'm pretty happy that those creeps are not here anymore. "The outside is really ugly but inside, this place looks nice. Don't you think?" Okuda smiled at me. "Oh yeah, it looks nice from the inside. I've been meaning to ask you this so um... Do you know this place?" "Well certainly, this is where I take a rest whenever I go to a trip or travel you know." Okuda answered while calling someone on the phone. "Oh, so you've been here in this small hotel before. Well, I always go out for work so that's why I never know this part of town." I smiled while scratching the back of my head. "You should move out or have a day off for once. Right?" "Oh um, who are you calling?" I asked while pointing at the phone. "Oh, I just want to call my friend who I know for many years. I just want to let him know that I'm doing fine that I'm really close to my goal." She giggled. "And that's?" I asked again. "Karma of course, I really love him so much. I'm chasing my boyfriend back to me."
