The eyeball blinked at her, it's iris projecting off a luminous glow similar to how a flashlight would. Which is exactly the reason why she should probably stop staring at it.
"What's going on Philip?". The voice sounded like it wasn't used often, which kind of made sense since from what Alice gathered, there was only two of them inside the room and having a glowing eyeball as your company probably wasn't the best thing to converse with. The eyeball; whose name was now identified as Philip, turned to acknowledge its friend, its light now focused on a small female with overgrown messy blonde hair, wearing a long light
baby blue shawl that was overlapping a worn halterneck dress.
"Hello? Are you ok?" The girl asked.
...
In the wrong direction.
"Errr.... Over here!...?" Alice was confused. Surely with Philip she could see her, right? The female let out a small 'Oh!' and turned to where Alice was still sitting on the ground with her feet tangled.
"Sorry! I don't have the best eyesight." The girl sighed, bending down to help Alice up, "The name's Neda."
"Alice.""What are you doing here?" Neda asked, "I mean, how did you manage to create a door?"
"What do you mean? It was always there!" Alice paused "Well. If you knock down the tapestry I guess. Anyhow, I guess you're part of the horror genre then?"Neda shrugged and started to explain how she was in that room for as long as she remembered, and how her eyesight was bad because of the countless staring contests she had with the glowing eyeball which in hindsight was probably a bad idea.
"Ya think?"
"Hey, In my defense, we had nothing else to do." Neda raised her hands in a surrender motion."Well ok. Then how did you survive without food and water?" Alice raised her eyebrows.
Neda shrugged, "I do not think that book characters need... Well.... Needs, I guess."
"Anyway, I should probably go back now." Alice said, "I need to think over this for a while."
Neda nodded and told her to take Philip as a torch just in case she accidentally bumped into any more walls.
As Neda went back into the room, Alice walked back to hers with Philip in her hands as she surveyed the area for anymore interrupting walls.
"Hur dur der~" Alice gasped silently while Philip's iris widened as the two rushed to hide behind a nearby corner.
Just a few feet away from them was a... shadow? Well, whatever it was, it was humming... Except it was more like ungodly horrid screeching..... And also... Cleaning?
"What in the name..." Alice whispered as the shadow slid out of sight.
"Well then."
"Today is an important day!" Alice stretched as she got out of bed "It's the day I go find a place to get the crap that the weird mechanic needs to help me get back home!"
"Well, that oddly specific." Neda noted as she walked into the room. Alice turned to her and grinned."Hey Neda! What are you doing here?"
"I thought I would come to see you." The blonde told her, aiming to sit down on the bed but missed and ended up on the floor instead.
"Oof." Alice snorted and helped her up.
"So... What is this about going back home?" Neda asked. Alice helped her sit down on a nearby chair and told her about the adventure she had since she fell down here.
