I sat on the rusted bench. My legs were throbbing with pain.
Shouldn't have worn heels.
Rachel was standing there, in front of my, subconsciously playing with her head and swinging her waist, talking to Simon. He was looking immensely uncomfortable, never quite being able to concentrate.
"Simon....?" I called out, loud enough for him to hear. I will be able to do it. I have practiced it.
Rachel flashed a smirk and backed off a bit, giving me a thumbs up.
"Hey!!" I tried sounding cheerful.
He smiled dryly."Simon. I remember you."
His head shot up."You..... remember??"
"Yeah. And the thing is, you are the only person I remember. So will you help me?"
"I'll be glad to. What help, by the way?"
Nervous throb.
"Umm. You know.... I don't really have memories of my own left. I want to make new ones."
His smile had vanished, replaced by a confused look.
"Date me."
There was a really long silence. He no longer showed warmth and his face was a cold dry stone. He shook his head, lost. I could feel the warmth of something I assume was a disappointed sigh.
"No."
"Ouch. That was harsh."
He began to turn around. I am not giving up so easily.
"Simon. Please wait. You are only one who can help me. Please. I need you."
He turned around to scan my face."All I can do is be friends with you. Nothing else. I am sorry."
By now I was fuming. I cannot believe I am wasting my time on this jerk.
The decision has been taken.

"You are moving on?!"
Harrison screamed from the other side of the line.
"10th time. Yes.""Oh freak." Pansy squeaked.
That is why I hate con calls.
"You just don't MOVE on. You cannot."
"Shut up. Someone's coming."
I slid the phone under my pillow and pretended to study. Isabelle stalked into the room. She had a huge pile of books in her hand. Not again.
"You lent me these. You can have them back."
"I don't need them. I donate these books to you. Take them and fuck off."
Her face, which was earlier covered in a scowl, was now concerned."Spencer, you have acted mean this lately. Is something bothering you? I can help you, know ?"
She was sweet. But I was in no mood for sweet things. Just really pissed off."I am fine. Thank you."
"We need to talk. You aren't fine. I know."
"Please, Isabelle.I am not in the mood."
"Since you have been away, I had been lonely."
OK. So she is not going to stop. Well, then.
"Nice story. Wanna hear mine? Once upon a time, nobody gave a fuck."
A feeling of hurt flashed on her face. She dropped the books on my bed and stalked away. I was too tired to sit and care about her feelings. Too tired to think. Even though Pansy and Harry were still on the line, I hung up and threw myself over the gigantic pillow.
"Stop."
I jerked my head sideways. Avinaash stood at the doorway. Sebastian, looked up at him and they exchanged a brief smile. Issy stood there, her way blocked by the six foot tall boy.
"Avi..... I need to go."
"No. Not unless you wanna pee."
She laughed dryly at his joke, which I found super annoying."We both need to talk to you, Spencer."
I buried a groan in the midst of the pillow and sighed. I could hear there footsteps advancing towards me. Gosh.
I looked up at a very concerned Avinaash and a very pissed off Isabelle."Not now, guys."
"Not now? Then when?"
"I am tired."
"Even I am. Of your attitude." Avinaash declared.
"Grab a chair and wait for me to care."
