"I need you to talk to me, Harles," Bradson said.

"I didn't do it," I whimpered.

"I know you didn't," He said. "You two were attached to the hip. Chief can only let you go if there is real evidence of where you were at the time of Krissy's murder." I took a shaky breathe. I sniffled then he sat beside me. He gently rubbed my back.

A few minutes later, Chief came in. He walked in the already open cell door. He kneeled in front of me and sighed.

"I know you didn't do it, sweetie," He said. "Someone is framing you. I recommend a private detective to your parents." I nodded slightly. "By law, I can't let you go until I have evidence that you did not commit the crime." I sniffled and shrugged. I brought my knees to my chest and buried my face in my knees. Bradson gently rubbed my back.

"Chief, you are needed up front," Another officer said. I looked up slightly at Chief. Chief sighed then turned back to me.

"I will be back in a minute, ok?," Chief said. "I promise, I will get you out." I nodded slightly. He walked out and that left Brandson and I alone. He comforted me and calmed me down enough to think back.

We sat for a minute thinking until Chief came back smiling. He unlocked the cuffs on my wrists then gave them back to Bradson.

"You're free," Chief said.

"How?," I asked

"Someone brought evidence that you didn't commit the crime," He said.

"But who?," I asked.

"Why don't you come and thank them yourself?," He said. I got up and they walked me out. I walked to the front and saw Danny. He smiled at me.

"How did you-"

"I have a photo of me and my friends that was taken a few seconds before everything happened," He said. "You, Jojo and Blake are in the background." I slightly smiled. I went to him and hugged him. He easily hugged back. He gently rubbed my back too.

"Your mom gave me a change of clothes for you," He said. "Go change and I will take you home." I nodded slightly. He gave me a backpack from home that had my clothes in it. I took it and went to the restroom to change. I locked the door and opened the backpack. There was a note on the top.

'You'll thank me later for this and you're welcome.

   ~Mom'

I took the clothes out. It was a flowy floral dress, maroon jeggings and a baggy jean jacket. She put brown leather booties, but thats a little too much. I just got out of jail. I changed into the clothes and put my black converse back on. I brushed through my hair with the brush my mom packed for me.

Once I looked in the mirror, I saw the horror that was my face. My cheeks were stained with tears, my eyes were really puffy and red. I splashed my face with some cold water. It helped a little, but not too much. I gave up and walked out. I put the backpack on then Chief handed me my purse and phone. I gave him and Bradson a hug.

"I promise that we will find whose doing this," Chief said. "It will be our first priority." I nodded.

"If you can, keep me updated," I said. "I am leaving soon, to go back home and-"

"About that," Chief said. "Due to laws and regulations, I am going to have to ask you to stay in town until we have found Krissy's killer."

"Why?," I asked softly. Almost scared to ask.
