Chapter 2

Corey
I was so confused. She just left. Why? I got up and slumped down on the couch. I really thought she was gonna say yes. I needed to run after her. I needed to know why she ran. I decided to go after her. I got up, got my keys and jumped into my car and just started driving.

Sabrina
I wanted to say yes. I just can't. I'm scared. What if we end up just like my relatives. I loved him too much to lose him. I found a narrow ally, sat down by the dumpster and started to cry.

Corey
I have been driving around for about two hours. I couldn't find her anywhere. Where could she have gone? I decided to park and just think. Was this the end? I did not want this to be the end. I love her. I thought she loved me. Was I wrong? Did I ask her too soon? Was she not ready? Ohh no, why did I think we were ready? We never even talked about marriage. I just asked. What was I thinking? I needed to find her. I put the car in gear and drove off again in search for my cutie. We needed to talk about this.

Sabrina
It is now night. I knew he wouldn't find me. Maybe he never even came after me. This made me cry even more. While I was crying, I heard footsteps. I looked up. It was all a blur. I could barely see anything. He held out his hand. I didn't take it. He sat down beside me,
"Sabrina. We need to talk about this."
"Corey?"
"Yes, it's me darling." He wrapped his arm around me and pulled me close. I cried in his arms,
"Corey, I am so sorry. Let me explain."
"Shh, before you say anything, I need to apologise. I don't know why I did it. I mean we never even discussed getting married, and I just popped the question. I'm so sorry babe, but please don't leave me."
"I'd never leave you. Corey, but..." I looked around it was so dark and I suddenly was frightened. "Corey, can we get out of here first? I'll explain while we w-"
"Drive." He smiled. He grabbed my hand and helped me up. I clenched his arm and it started pouring.
"Seriously?!" I yelled, my voice shaky. Corey laughed. He tightened his grip on my waist and put his jacket around my shoulders. He was the best.
