August 24, 2016

Immediately when we walked in, the manager was waiting by the door.  He walked over to us with a warm smile and began to talk.

" Hello I am Panic!'s , or just Brendon's, manager. My name is Eddy Tucker. You must be Quincy and the talented Lavinia!"

He shook Quincy's hand and held mine as he spoke.

" I have seen your work on many social media platforms and I am delighted to see you work with us tonight! You are very talented."

I don't know how to properly take a compliment. A light pink blush rose to my cheeks and I nodded my head.

I said " I am super excited to see how this turns out. I was thinking about maybe getting some sound check photos and then one when the concert starts Brendon singing to the crowd and-"

Quincy cut me off and said " She is just filled with good ideas."

Eddy nodded, let go of my hand and began to back up while he spoke.

"There are signs pointing to Brendon's dressing room if you want to introduce yourself. You two share a room for your camera and just a place to relax. Tonight is going to be hectic." He waved goodbye with another thank you and left the room.

Once he got out of hearing range, Quincy grabbed my shoulders and whispered.

"Stop rambling when you're nervous. You are a talented young woman and I have faith tonight will be just as good as any other shoot. Now if you will excuse me I am going to the dressing room for a nap. Getting up at 7 is too early for this man."

He dramatically yawned and walked out to find the room. I decided to explore the venue. I found the bathroom, lounge, behind the stage and band room. The final place was the stage. I took a back door and walked on stage.

I forgot what being on stage felt like. I imagined the lights on me and a microphone on a stand in front of me. I heard the crowd screaming my name. Entertainers must love the light and crowd. I began to pace around the stage with my camera out. I needed to find good angles for my photos.

Time went by so fast and I was on the stage for so long I decided to head back. I stood in the middle for one more minute and turned around to walk out. Before I even got close to the door I bumped into a strong object and began to fall back.

I expected the ground to come fast. All I have ever felt was falling to the ground. My dad always shoved me around too rough, or the people at school would throw me down with my books and bag. I braced myself for impact. Instead, I felt a hand on my lower back and looked up. Lights lined the silhouette of the person who I bumped into and caught me.

A deep voice brought me out of my mind.

"Hey, are you alright? I'm sorry I knocked you down. I should've said something. My name is Brendon Urie. I take it you're Lavinia Green?"
