Chapter 4

Annie's POV:
After katie left I was thinking about Brennan. "Annie will you talk to me?" Caleb snapped me out of my day dream. "Sorry I'm kinda out of it." I said. "Is it about Brennan?" Caleb  asked. "Ya." I said and looked down. "I know he's dating someone else, are you okay?" Caleb asked. "Ya I'm totally over him." I said. "No your not." Caleb said and I looked up at him. "Yes I am." I said. "Hey calm down, I get it, your upset, but you need to help me bring back Brennan, he's changing, I ask if he wants to come over but he's always hanging out with Kayla. And at school, he either sits with her at lunch or she's all he talks about, and he's been skipping classes." Caleb said which shocked me. PAUSE

RESUME:
"Wow he really is changing." I said. "Caleb can we drive over their?" I asked. "Sure." He said and grabbed his keys and we walked out the door.  We got to their house in 10 minutes and rang the door bell. Kayla answered. "What are you doing here?" She asked. "Um-" Caleb cut me off. "I'm here to see my best friend." Caleb said. "Brennan you have people." Kayla said then left then Brennan came to the door. "What?" He asked kinda harshly. "Wanna hang out?" Caleb asked. "No I'm spending time with my girlfriend." He said and I looked down. "Well you said no to me yesterday." Caleb said. "Well sorry but I have more important things." Brennan says getting all in Caleb's face. "Yeah well what about friendship." Caleb said. Then Brennan punched Caleb in the mouth, "OH MY GOSH CALEB!" I said and looked at his face then I saw katie come out. "BRENNAN WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOU?" I asked. " At first i didn't believe that you changed, and I didn't want to but you have and not in a good way, your mean, what happened to the guy I meet in 3rd when you were in 4th grade who pushed me on the swing and they guy that hid with me in the closet, and the guys I shared my first kiss with." I said. Brennan looked down. "What now?" Kayla said. "Brennan said I was his first kiss." Kayla said. "Okay if that's what he says then none of that happened." I said and Brennan looked me in the eyes with the same spark I saw in him when I started to like him. But then it disappeared."I have lost all respect for you. And I think I'm finally over you after today." I said and grabbed Caleb and we left. The car ride was silent on the way home. I was texting katie just talking about Brennan and Caleb. Then we got home. I went in and got Caleb an ice pack. Then Caleb walked in. "Caleb what happened?" Mom Asked. "Someone punched me." Caleb said. "Who?" She asked worried, Caleb looked down so I said it. "Brennan." I said . "No their best friends why would he?" Mom asked. "Because of his girlfriend." I said. "Oh what's her name Kayla." Mom said. "Ya." I said then got up and went to my room. Shortly after Hayley came into my room. "Annie what's wrong?" Hayley asked. "Ugg Brennan." I said and moved over so she could lay down on my bed with me. "Yeah boys." Hayley said. "What did he do?" Hayley asked. "Well he changed, and he punched Caleb." I said and Hayley looked confused. "It's his girlfriend." I said and I must have given off too much facial expressions because she said this. "Oh are you jealous?" She asked. And I was, but I didn't want to say I was. "No just annoyed." I said. "I'm your sister, I can tell when your lying." Hayley said not looking at me. "You still have feelings for him, maybe not the they Brennan but the old one." Hayley said. She was right I do. "Yeah but that Brennan is obviously gone." I said. "Maybe." Hayley said. "Was their ever a sign of the old Brennan in him when you saw him, how he talked, how he looked at you?" She asked. Then I thought. "Definitely not how he talked." I said . "Their was a short time when I saw the same spark in his eyes that I saw when I first liked him." I said. "Their ya go, you still have a chance." Hayley said the. Caleb appeared in the door way whit his ice pack to his face. "I gotta go text Ryan." Hayley said and got up, ahh young love. Caleb came in and took Hayley's spot. "So you still like him?" He asked. "Yeah par of him, ya know the normal him." I said. "Ya know what I bet the normal him liked you too." Caleb said and I smiled. "So to Change the subject when are you gonna asked katie out?" I asked and he got all red. "Maybe soon." He said and I left it at that. "You should bring. The old Brennan back." Caleb said. "What do you mean?" I asked confused. "Yeah spend time with him," Caleb said. "But he's always with Kayla." I said annoyed. "Until she leaves next week for 2 weeks." He said smiling. "How did you know?" I asked. "Well when me and Brennan talked and didn't fight, he was all sad at lunch about how he found out Kayla was going back to her home town next week." Caleb said. I have a great idea! I said excited. Then I ran down the stairs with Caleb and Hayley came down too. "Mom dad can Katie, Brennan, and Ryan stay at our house for 2 weeks? I asked. "Why?" Mom asked. "Well-" I explained the whole bring Brennan back thing. "Okay but that was the 2 weeks us four parents were gonna be out of town" mom said. "Yeah so more of a reason we should be together." I said. She called mrs.jill, and she agreed. They were coming  on Sunday.
