I watch Niall walk out of the room and I frowned.
"I was hoping it would be easier", I heard his mother murmur.
"What happened?" I asked her.
"I left his father and him when Niall was 7", she said, ashamed.
"Why? How could you leave him?" I inquired.
"I needed to. I was getting threats... I couldn't put my son in danger", She sighed.
I looked at her trying to figure out if she was lying or not.
"I won't be around much longer so please give this to him", she said, handing me an envelope.
She got up and walked out of the room.
I don't know what to think... She left Niall at 7 years old.
Niall never talked about her so I have no idea about anything besides what I heard from Maura.
I look at the envelope and think for a minute... I will leave it on the table. If Niall decided to read it then it's up to him.
I can't force him to tell me anything... I really hope that he can trust me enough to talk about it but I won't force him.
