I got home from work and went into the dining room. I glanced at the recycling bin and saw the envelope.

"He probably didn't want to read it", I sighed.

I shrugged, it wasn't my choice.

I walked into our bedroom and saw Niall curled in on himself crying.

"Niall", I gasped and ran to him.

I sat on the bed and pulled him into my lap.

"I-it's my m-mum", He whimpered.

"What?" I asked, stroking his hair as he cried into my chest.

He shook his head and turned on the TV.

After I watched the report I sighed.

"Do you want me to grab the letter?" I asked him.

"W-What letter?" He asked me, confused.

"The letter your mom left. I set it on the table for you."

"I thought that was an empty envelope", He whispered and jumped up.

I followed him to the dining room and he read the letter out loud.

Dear my baby Niall,

I love you. You are my son and I will always love you. I killed Bobby to protect you. If you are reading this I am probably gone.

I want you to live on. I want you to be happy and stay with Liam. He is perfect for you and I want him to be my son-in-law.

I will always love you. I have left everything to you. My money, my home, my everything. They should give you everything in an email if you haven't gotten it already.

I love you... Good-bye, Baby.

Love you always,

Your mother.

"She left you everything?" I asked.

He nodded.

"She wanted you to live on and be happy. You should do that", I whispered wrapping my arms around his waist.

"Let's get some rest", Niall whispered.

I nodded and we cuddled together.

After Niall fell asleep I thought about what Maura said.

Will Niall listen to her? Will he stay with me?

I found out later on... he did.
