Hiya!
As I mentioned before, ease into the plot and only start the bigger events (unless that's the point and all that) until the third or so (depending on the length of chapters), though you have to hook the reader in.
Make them wonder.
Keep them interested.
Otherwise they'll just toss the book aside until they have nothing else to read.
That's unlikely, btw.
