Clarke POV The freeway was getting long and boring but I was an hour away from my lovely friends and a couple months of happiness. I let time pass by playing the radio and relaxing a little bit until I pulled up into a beautiful long forest floor drive way and pulled up along side a large log house with a front wall of windows, they were paneled in triangles with four glass doors that led into a living room but they were locked. I sluggishly walked around a bush and saw a front porch with another glass door and I knocked loudly on the door.
I saw Anya running down a curved wood stair case in plaid pajamas and a thin white hoodie and she frantically unlocked the door and pulled me straight into her.
"Hey love bug!"Anya softly cried into my cheek
"Hey I've missed you" I said back feeling another force hit me from the side it was Raven!
We all greeted each other and I was showed my room and I changed into pjs and went to get some rest sense it was only 3 am I got there real early and I slept in until 2pm.
I woke up and stretched and waddled down the stairs to find raven outside watering their garden and I guess Anya was out at class,they lived together to save money from college and just not be lonely it was pretty cool. I found something to eat and woke myself up with a warm shower and going to talk to Raven in the cool crisp October air.
"Do you guys have any crazy wild animals up here?" I asked
"Yea I mean the redwoods are right behind us and this forest side is pretty thick." Raven smiled at me
"Park city has a lot of life at night trust me." I laughed putting my hands into my pockets
"That's cool but Halloween is two days away what are we going to do any ideas?" Raven nudged my shoulder
"Introduce me to some friends let's go to a party." I smiled I was a pretty social person I liked to get myself out there make new friends and such.
"Good idea! Monty is having one I know every one is going to be there!" Raven got excited and ran inside to tell Monty we planned on coming to his party.
I stood still with cool chilled breeze going against my neck and my hands in my jean jacket and looked really deep into the forest. I felt a weird shudder go down my spine not like wind but like some one had ran their finger down my spine. I felt like I made eye contact with some one or thing out in the forest. I took a couple steps and One more into the drive way.

I looked off into the trees and tried to focus my eyes but a small cloud of fog began to roll in and I got uneasy, I turned around and walked back inside and for safe keeping I locked the door behind me.
"Why'd you lock the door?" Raven asked
"I felt.." I didn't finish my sentence
"You felt uneasy, like you made eye contact with some one of thing in the forest?" Raven said low with full eye interaction
"Yea.. uh. Uh how'd you know that?" I stuttered kind of spooked.
"When me and Anya were here checking the house out for rent we walked out to the car and I stopped and saw a small spot full of flowers and looked over and when I looked up to the tree line I felt this weird calming tingle over come my body and like I locked eyes with some one. And evidently I zoned out and pointed to it for Anya to look at and she didn't feel it at all." Raven calmly told this story
"You're just freaking me out with your ghost stories as usual." I scoffed
"No it's not, it's a local myth around her locals talk about the forest walker all the time, except they call him The Grounder." Raven said concerned
"This is already freakin me out stop." I laughed at Raven
"Okay okay, I'm gonna make lunch do you want any thing?" Raven smiled
"No, lets go see town I wanna check stuff out." I smiled and tossed Ravens jeep keys to her
As Raven cruised down the road that feeling over came me again, and I could've sworn I saw a large man with blood painted on his face of some kind of alien dog thing with skin covered over its eyes and a tall skinny body hung over the man with drool hanging from its fangs, it was naked and pale almost translucent. I shook my head and noticed I was turned around staring and Raven had slowed down a lot
"Di-did you see that?!" I shouted out to Raven
"Do you mean the fucking alien thing and guy with blood on his face yes! I did!!" Raven said flooring it again and I saw her hand shaking
"I gotta call Anya tell her meet us at the diner."Raven said dialing her phone and handing it to me
"Hello?" Anya said through the speaker
"Th-the guy and the alien thing again Anya I'm not tripping I'm not high Clarke saw it too and she's just as freaked out." Raven said panicking
"Baby baby calm down." Anya said
"Wait baby??" I said confused
"Time to open up, Raven and I have been dating sense senior year of high school Clarke I'm sorry we never told you but you're one of the first to know." Raven said
"What the hell.. that's okay though I'm just made you guys never told me." I said sassily
"Okay Clarke but what did you see?" Anya asked
"Tall big man blood on his face s large pale ugly alien thing hanging over him like a protector staring at the car I'm so scared I should've grabbed my shit from the house and brought it with us." I said shaking
"Anya, meet us at The Diner in town okay." Raven said
"Okay bye." Anya ended the call and left me and Raven in terrified silence.
We pulled up to the diner and found Anya waiting inside and we took a seat and talked about what happened, Anya calmed Raven down while I thought to myself how creepy it was how u would be staying almost a mile away from any real neighbor or help units. That the closest house was some farmer about 1/3 a mile in the distance from the house. With that.. that thing and that grounder man which do they call the grounder him or his horrific pet with those nasty long fangs and no eyes.
"Can I take your order?" I looked up and saw a beautiful semi tall brunette with gorgeous green eyed and full beautiful lips.
"Yea sorry" I stuttered telling her my order
"It's alright cutie." The waitress smiled flashing her white teeth.
"Anya, what've you been up to?" The girl asked politely
"Not much just going to montys party on Halloween how about you?"
"Same here, lemme go get the food ready." The girl turned and flashed me one last look and went behind the doors of the kitchen
