"So I'm guessing you didn't know that we are supposed to have 5 people." I stated as I was reading the pamphlet.
"Well, I actually did. But I figured that we could just ask random people to join us." Junaid said. I gave him the: you-are-the-dumbest-person-alive look. I looked around and saw two teams. They already had 5 people and here we were. I sighed. We needed three more people.
"Okay since I'm hungry and I want to eat a giant pizza for just 20 bucks, and win a 100 bucks gift card, I am going to call my friend and you call yours. I pulled out my phone and dialed Felicity. She didn't pick up even when I called the second time. I stepped out of Ali's pizza and looked around. All I saw was a group of guys talking. I recognized Faheem and started walking towards them. I realized what I was doing as was about to turn around before anybody recognized I was coming there but I was too late. They stopped talking when the noticed me coming. I wanted to turn around and run. Gosh why did I decide to walk to him in the first place?
"Hey Faheem." I greeted him with a smile. I noticed two guys nudging each other.
"Hey. Nice to see you again ...?" oh he didn't want his friends to know that he knew me.
"Aliah. You asked to use my microwave a week ago." I laughed. He froze and looked at me wide eyed. Well he deserved it! He was degrading me in front of these guys so why shouldn't I return the favor?
"Oh-uh-yeah." He cleared his thought. I grinned.
"Well it was nice seeing you again." I waved before making my way back to Ali's. "Idiot." I mumbled.
"Sorry I couldn't get though to her-" I stopped when I saw the pizza on the table and three random people standing with Junaid. My tummy grumbled.
......
"Remind me to never ever listen to you again." I laughed as Junaid walked me to my apartment.
"Hey you had fun!" he defended. I nodded chuckling. Although we didn't win the gift card I had a lot of fun. Junaid called his friends to help us with the pizza. We were three guys and two girls but we still didn't end up winning. Spending time with them was down right awesome.
"Yeah I did. Thanks." I stated. "Well then, I better get some sleep." I said. He nodded.
"I'm glad you are smiling again. You should do it more often. It is sunnat." He patted my hijab before walking away. I remember Rayhaan doing that. Tears filled my eyes and I placed a hand on my belly.
"I'm sure you're going to look just like your daddy." I whispered to my little baby inside me. "My little one."
" You're pregnant?" I heard a deep voice behind me. Oh Allah, nobody was supposed to be here.
.....

She doesn't seem very Islamic now but I promise the story gets better. It's about how she wants to change for the better. This story is completely fictional. Please don't stop reading. It gets better.
So what do you think about this book?
