If I Stay...

The Morning After

Jared has a secret, a large one at that. One he'd never shared before. The secret being the reason he didn't have sex with men before and if he did he was always super careful, but not this time. This time he'd forgot to take his medication because he was rushing that morning to get to breakfast, preparing his outfit and going to get Jensen's guitar. He also didn't want to take it while Jensen was there, still not ready for the questions he might ask. Now he realizes he should have to be extra careful, but now as he lies awake body still tangled with Jensen's, clothes scattered all over the floor he realized there is only one thing he could do now. The morning after pill is now his only hope, they're 89% effective, which only left Jared to worry about the other 11%. He didn't know if he was ready to tell Jensen, and maybe he wouldn't need to. At least he wouldn't yet if this pill worked effectively. 

Picking himself up from the bed, Jared slowly shifted towards the drawer where he had stored his lingerie, trying his hardest to stay quiet so Jensen wouldn't wake up. Jay got dressed quickly into a pair of basketball shorts and a white vest, along with a pair of sneakers. He was only going to the nearest pharmacy, then he'd be back, stripped and climbing back into the bed with the love of his life. "Jay...where are you going" A very sleepy Jensen groggily mumbled into a pillow, Jared wasn't going to tell him why he was going the pharmacy, so to avoid any questions he decided to lie to him. He knew lying was bad, and it wouldn't end well but he couldn't tell Jensen. Not yet. "I'm just going the shop around the corner to get some pie for you and a salad for me, so we don't have to go to the canteen or anywhere at dinner. I fancy a lazy day in bed so if I go and get the stuff now, we can stay in bed all day." Jared managed to convince Jensen, but he knew it wouldn't have happened if Jensen had been fully awake and looking at him. Relief rushed through Jay's body, he had to be quick. 

Jared threw on a beanie and some sunglasses before rushing out of the hotel and to the pharmacy, collecting the box of pills he so desperately needed right now and taking one the moment he could. All the rushing however, had caused him to ignore his surroundings, ignore the people taking photos. Ignore the people taking photos of him taking tablets. When Jared looked up and was about to walk to the shop before heading to the hotel he saw them putting their cameras away. He started shaking, the only thing running through his mind was Jensen's going to ask questions...what am I going to say? He's going to hate me... That's when the tears started streaming down his cheeks, he didn't want this, he didn't want to lose Jensen, he'd only just got him. 

Jared rushed to the shop for pie before hurrying back to the hotel room to Jensen, who was now lying awake in bed, scanning through Netflix for a movie for them to watch. "Hey baby, you okay? I just saw pictures of you on twitter in  pharmacy..." Jensen had concern written all over his face, and Jared knew he should tell him while he had the chance. But he didn't. Instead he told Jensen that he just needed to get pain relief because he had a bit of a headache, he knew that excuse wouldn't last once other pictures got released, but for now that was good enough. "Okay princess, now come cuddle me, I'll eat the pie later. I love you so much and nothing in the world can change that." Jensen said a smile on his face, as he lifted the blanket for the younger man to slide in. Jared did after he'd removed his clothes. "I love you too babe". If only Jensen knew, was all that was running through Jared's head. If only he knew how different things would be if he didn't go the pharmacy for the pill. Maybe that day will come sooner than he thinks where Jensen finds out. Just maybe...
