~the next day~
It's "Carnival Day"
so we're going to the annual Summer Carnival
instead of doing challenges today
I'm getting dressed for the carnival
but I can't help but overhear Samantha's conversation with Derek
"You love me damnit." She yells but lowers her voice a little
"I don't Sam. We're just friends with benefits...that's it." He says
"You lying now Derek? Damn I see.."
"I'm not lying...I don't wanna be with you. I wanna be with Tazlynn.."
I freeze up hearing my name
As I'm walking past her room..
Of course quietly & slowly so I don't disturb them...
"Why that bitch? She's ugly & is boring Af" she says
I burst into the room
"Hey Derek wanna come to the carnival with me?" I ask smiling at Derek
While glaring at Samantha
His eyes light up & a huge smile forms across his face
"Of course. Wait downstairs for me beautiful." He says winking
"Okay handsome" I say & walk out of the room
I hear them fighting again & about a minute later
I hear footsteps behind me
Derek grabs me from behind & twirls me around
"I knew you would've grow fond of me." He says giggling
"I did only because of Samantha talking shit." I say rolling my eyes
"You don't like me then?" He asks looking slightly hurt
"I like you as a friend nothing else" I say
He nods & hugs me tight
"But I'm still your date no matter what." He says sticking his tongue out
"I hate you." I say rolling my eyes playfully & he tickles my sides making me laugh
~at the carnival~
I see Gilinsky flirting with Samantha
Which hurts me inside..
Knowing I'm personally doing this so he'll get jealous
If it would work...I can finally express my emotions to him...
My true inner romantic attraction to him is killing me slowly
The main reason is because he doesn't know & I don't dare to tell him..
Why can't I tell him? Here's why..
We still barely know each other...
He is still a stranger to me & I can't date a complete stranger...
Unless I wanna be like Samantha & no one wants to be her...EVER.
I flip my hair & giggle at Derek
He smiles
"You okay ma?" He asks
"Can you get me a teddy bear?" I ask pointing to the large cute teddy bear
That you can win in a game
"Of course baby" he says & kisses my forehead
He walks over to the booth
He hands the worker money & grabs the 10 small multicolored balls
He starts tossing them & I cheer him on
I purposely scream out
"You can do it baby!" I scream
Causing Gilinsky to look my way
I see him stare at me & glare at Derek
Yes....it's working...
He grabs Samantha's hand & drags her to a game booth next to ours
He starts playing the same game & tosses the balls
Derek scores after throwing the 4th ball
I jump up & down in excitement
"Yay!!" I say
The worker hands Derek the teddy bear & Derek walks over to me
He bends down on one knee & hands it over to me
"For my princess." He says bowing his head down
"AWWW Derek baby.." I say blushing
This is truly not acting..this is so sweet how he's doing this all for me.
Meanwhile Gilinsky's at the 8th ball & Samantha's pissed at him already
I walk away with Derek & we sit down at the nearby bench
"Wanna go on that?" He asks referring to the tall roller coaster
"Looks like fun. Yeah." I say
He raises a eyebrow
"Great...Lynn I-"
I'm staring at Gilinsky & Samantha
I get sad when I see them being all cute together
Derek taps my shoulder
I look at him
"Hey..Gilinsky's missing out..he's the fool.." He says & caresses his cheek
"He doesn't see the diamond that's standing in front of him." He adds & gets closer to me
"Derek..that's nice but-"
He shushes me with his finger
"Lynn...let me show you..what he's not.." He says
I raise a eyebrow
He cups my face & leans in
"Let me kiss you please.." He says with pleading eyes
"Why are you asking for permission..just kiss me." I say & he kisses me softly
I kiss him back & he holds me in his embrace
I find myself in a different world while kissing Derek
I felt like I'm not on earth anymore...
We pull apart & he looks at me
His gorgeous perfect white smile shown across his face
I pinch his cheek
He giggles
"Just friends eh?" He says smirking
"Well..you asked.." I say giggling & smirking
He hugs me
"It's okay we can be just friends,but i had to do that..look over your shoulder real quick" he says
I turn around & look over my shoulder
I see Gilinsky by himself now & he's mad
"He's mad & by himself."
"Go to him." He says
"Now? After we just kissed like that...that was something" I say giggling
"Yes now. I don't care..it means nothing remember? Just friends" he says smiling & pushes me off the seat
"I know when I'm not wanted" I say rolling my eyes playfully & flipping him off
He laughs hard & I walk over to the table that Gilinsky's sitting at
I look at him
"Can I sit here?" I ask
He nods not speaking a word
I sit down & he moves my chair closer to him
"Why did you kiss Derek..are you two a thing?" He asks
I hear angry growing in his voice
By the way his voice trembles gives me a sign
"No...we-"
"That's all lies. Cmon I saw that..you were so into it..it made me sick..if only you cared about other people for once other than yourself" he says mad
"What do you mean?" I ask
"Ever since I saw you...I've had deep feelings for you. I know we barely know each other..but we can learn stuff about each other..every single day....if you don't feel comfortable with us being intimate yet..I'll wait until your ready. But Lynn I think I'm in love..with you." He says & my heart shatters
Here I am trying to make him jealous so I can tell him my feelings..
Here I am making him suffer...
Meanwhile he has feelings for me as well..
Let it out...
Just let it all out...
"Jack hear me out..I have something to tell you.." I say
He looks at me
"What is it?"
"I-"
"Ready jacky?" Samantha says behind me
"Yes babydoll wait for me in the car" he says with a fake smile
She runs off..
"What was it again?" He asks
"Never mind it's not important..go back to your little hoe girlfriend..Oops I meant girlfriend" I say pissed
"Hey come back here!" He yells & I shake my head
"Go have your fun with her!" I say flipping him off
I run to the bench
Hoping to find Derek but instead see the bench empty
Now everyone's leaving so I have to take Jasmila's car back to the house
"Hey what's wrong?" She asks
"Nothing." I lie & look out the window
With sad eyes & tears threatening to burst out
As I realized it's far too late to have the man of my dreams..
As he's stolen away from me..
