"Shit!" Stiles screams out a manly groan. "Is it out yet?!" Derek looks down sheepishly, throwing a look at Melissa too.

"Come on Stiles, just once more."

"For fuck's sake-" Stiles yells out again, pushing with all his might.

"It's out!" Melissa shouts. The Sheriff rushes over, smiling at the sight - even laughing a little. Derek stares at the baby, face unreadable. Stiles sighs loudly.

"Is it okay?" Stiles asks, not being able to see due to the other three crowding. "Hey!"

"Yes," Derek says slowly. "It's a girl." He blinks slowly, eye contact not shifting from their little girl. Melissa takes a towel and wraps it around their newborn. Derek holds his arms out hesitantly, Melissa placing the little girl in his arms. He smiles. The Sheriff and Melissa watch, smiling also.

"Can I-...see her?" Stiles asks, looking at Derek. Derek scoots closer to Stiles on his knees and seats himself next to him. Derek moves the baby closer to Stiles but keeps her in his arms. "She's beautiful." Derek hums, agreeing. He becomes awfully quiet. "Der?" He looks up to Derek, who has watery eyes. He smiles, laughing a little. "Are you crying?"

"Uh-I no." Derek passes her to Stiles, wiping his eyes. Stiles laughs at him. Stiles' dad and Melissa watch the two caress the baby, bringing smiles to their faces. Derek cries a little, coughing when he looks up to see the other two watching them.

"What are we calling her?" Derek coughs again.

"We could call her Ashley?" Stiles asks in a quiet voice. Derek hummed.

"I like that."

Stiles fell asleep tired and Melissa and the Sheriff left them to be in peace. Stiles told Derek to look after little Ashley but he was a little...afraid.

"Derek?" Stiles yawned and scratched his head as he woke up. "Why is she crying?" He paused for a moment. "Derek?" He slowly got out of bed, opening the door making the cries suddenly get louder. The door squeezed, she was wrapped up in blankets, crying on the floor. "Der?" He turned his head to see Derek hiding behind the sofa, he began to laugh. It caught Derek's attention, he turned to Stiles.

"She won't stop crying." Stiles laughed at Derek.

"You're being ridiculous, that's what babies do." Derek smiled sheepishly, looking over at little Ashley. He peek around the edge of the sofa. "Go get her."

"What if-"

"Go." Derek sighed, hesitantly going to pick her up. He cringed a little at the weight of her fragile body on his arms. Stiles tapped her cheek, turning to Derek. "See, she's harmless-" He yelped, panic rising in Derek. "Ouch."

"She bit you." Derek said quietly, holding her away from himself a little.

"She bit me..." Stiles said in thought. "She must be a little grumpy nipper, like you."

"Grumpy? I am not grumpy." Stiles laughed out loud, Samantha coming to his side. He patted her head.

"You are Derek, don't even lie." He bopped Derek's nose and then bent down to stroke the dog. "Hey little Samantha-" Derek rolled his eyes. He made a beeline for the sofa and seated himself with Ashley in his arms. He cuddled her into his chest and began to fall asleep. Stiles grinned, jumping down onto the couch and leaning into his chest also. Samantha, of course, had to join and she curled into a ball in between Stiles and Derek.

"Der what are you doing?" The scene he had just walked into was ridiculous. Ashley was crying to herself, lay on top of a folded up blanket and Derek was hiding the sofa. Stiles was incredulous. What the hell was Derek doing?

Derek turned slowly towards Stiles, ear pricking at the sound of his baby's little cries.

"She won't stop crying." He peaked his head over the sofa, looking fearful.

"That kinda what babies do, Derek." He crossed his arms over. "Go get her." This felt like a repeat of what had happened earlier. Derek stood up hesitantly walking over to Ashley. He picked her up lightly caressing her and whimpered. He looked to Stiles, not knowing what to do. Stiles egged him on, nodding and making hand gestures.

"Shush little baby don't you cry..." Derek began to sing softly. "Dada's gonna sing you a lullaby." Stiles cooed at Ashley, moving towards her and Derek. He smiled and reached up on his tip toes to kiss Derek's cheek.

"You're going to be an amazing daddy." Derek sheepishly smiled, bobbing his little girl up and down. Samantha jumped up, trying to sniff at Ashley. Derek growled half heartedly but protective over his new daughter.

"Der she's just get used to the new smell."

"I don't like Sammy being close to Ashley." Derek turned his back on the dog.

"It's Samantha." Stiles hissed back laughing. "Der, I love you." Derek grinned, kissing his newborn and Stiles on the cheek. "You've got to admit you love our little Samantha too."

"No. That dog steals my blankets and crushes my legs." Derek shakes his head vividly. "I refuse to love that." Stiles frowned at him and the dog whined. Derek sighed. "Okay, maybe not love but I deal with her." Derek confessed, Stiles nodding.

"Good, you guys have to be civil with each other." Stiles hummed. "Stop marking your territory Derek, I hear your grumbling." Derek laughs a little.

"Yeah whatever," Derek rolls his eyes and sighs. He kissed Ashley's head.

"You love the dog really, stop trying to compete with her. Now pass me Ashely and come cuddle with us." Derek nods, handing her over. Stiles nods towards the dog. Derek gives in a pats it on the head.

"You're not all bad." The dog whines brushing it's head against Derek's legs. "Now you're milking it." He moved away from the dog seating himself down on the sofa he was previously hiding behind. Stiles plumps down next to him and places Ashely on Derek's chest. He leaned into Derek's shoulder and patted his legs for Samantha to get on.

"Come 'ere girl!"
