The drive was long, we would never reach Moxxi in time...
I was falling asleep, my head knocking lightly against the window. The sky was getting darker and thunder was starting to roll in. All I could smell was the dead bodies, eaten and mauled by skags.
"Jack, I'm tired, you're lost, can we just crash somewhere until morning?" I plead with a yawn.
Boy, did I fuck up.
Jack slams on the breaks as my body flies forward, slamming against the dash. My ribs cracked a little and I yelled loudly.
"That's a joke, right pumpkin?" He growls through greeted teeth.
I try to catch my breath but for some odd reason, I wasn't having fun anymore. I was sick of him, I was tired, I wasn't even meant to be apart of this goose chase.
I hear the tires roll against the sand and my temper is over heating. With one small leap, I grab onto the steering wheel, whipping the truck to the left. Traction begins to lose control and the truck fully flips once, breaking my wrist as we rolled. Was it worth it? Kind of, I mean, Jacks bleeding from beneath his mask.
Shit... Jacks bleeding.
I manage to shove open the door, falling to the ground as I try to get away from him.
"Fuck..." I mumble into the dirt, inching forward as I try to lift myself.
Wasn't really easy with a broken wrist.
"God dammit, kitten." Jack grunts, slamming the drivers side door shut.
I hear his boots crunch in the sand, every pebble beneath him. Did I mention my ribs were in severe pain? Because he decides to kick those.
"Fuck!" I yell, lifting my good arm to punch him in the nuts.
"What the hell is wrong with you?! You're being crazy!"
"Me?! I'm being crazy?!" I shout, punching him again.
He falls down beside me, cupping his emasculated manhood.
"You could've killed us..."
"I'm sick of chasing people, Jack..." My voice cracks and I couldn't believe I was saying what I was saying.
Sure, the guy showed me a pretty good time, but after this wild goose chase and his short fused temper tantrums, I couldn't take a whole lot more.
"Riley-"
"Who's out there?!" We hear a woman's voice call.
Suddenly were blinded by a bright light and beautiful blue eyes. They were icy, one side of the woman's face covered by her piercing, ebony hair.
"Holy shit! Ha! No way! We made it!" Jacks voice was hoarse.
He was pissed, but I could tell he was tired too.
I hear the screech of a hanging wire, looking up and reading a wooden plank with 'Morningstar Inc.' written along it.
I feel Jack lift me by my good arm and wrap my body around his shoulders, carrying me like a fucking lumberjack.
"Jack?" I hear the woman, who I'm assuming was the owner of this place.
"Alexandria. Long time no... Work-y. You've been ignoring my calls. Thanks to YOU, I missed Val, got stuck with this trash instead." He shrugs, my body dropping into the ground once more.
"I'm sorry! But it's hard to know all the details about someone when you hardly know what they look like! Plus... I've been working on selling the newest model of my prototype. Wanna see?"
"This idiot is 'too tired' so, probably not. Baby need hew west!" Jack mocks, kicking the door to the building open.
Alexandria picks me up, helping me walk into the extremely small shop, but connected to the place was a huge house.
"What? I need a lot of storage for my guns." She shrugs, walking me up the stairs.
"I'm sorry, you look like you're in a lot of pain." She frowns, looking at me with what I just assumed was empathy.
"As long as I don't have to sleep next to him." I growl as she brings me into an empty room.
The place smelt like flowers, the room was a pale blue, it was inviting...
"We'll catch up in the morning I'm sure. But I don't know exactly how well Jack is going to take-"
"Take what?!" My eye twitches.
I already knew what she was about to say, and I'm really not sure why I asked.
"I have zero leads, no clue where Moxxi is headed. She gave me nothing... Part of me feels like she knows who I work for. Last time I fix that hookers car. She's probably halfway to one of the Eden's. Hiding."
Great. Just. Fucking... Gre-
"Can I get you anything? Water? Melon? Tea?"
"Tea would be great, thanks." I plop face first into the bed and scream loudly into the mattress.
I wanted to see my mom. Plus, should I go to the hospital for ya know, all of my broken bones? Nope, apparently it's ALL GOOD! Some pain killers would be nice?

"What the hell is Morningstar inc?"
"I don't know, Sash. But this was the last place to be traced."
"Now girls, be careful-" Felix mutters through Sasha and Fiona's echo devices.
"Alexandria Morningstar has been rumored to work for Hyperion. You two have the caravan, convince her it needs repairs. I will be here if you need me."
Felix suddenly cuts from the transmission and Sasha blankly stares at Fiona, a dumb founded look on her face.
"What??" Fiona yelps.
"We'll be fine, don't worry." Fiona reassures her sister.
"And you're sure that Riley is in trouble? That chick in there... She makes bombs for a living!" Sasha's eyes widen and Fiona rests her palms onto her sisters shoulders.
"Dude, come on, Riley needs us. You never shy away from a fight, don't start now." Fiona smiles warmly and Sasha returns it.
With a heavy sigh, Sasha pulls out a knife, taking it to the tires and slashing every single one.
Fiona had her moth gaped wide open.
"Sash! What the shit?!"
"I don't know about you, but I think it looks like it could use some repairs." She winks.
Fiona face palms and pinches the bridge of her nose.
"Leave the talking to me." She grunts, both sisters walking to the front door.
Holding their breath, Fiona gently knocks. 1 knock, 2, then 3.
The door is torn open quickly and they're greeted by a man in a peculiar mask. The man from the bar. Did he recognize her? They're fucked...
"Ladies?" He asks, wiping some more blood from his ear with a wet cloth as he glances outside at the caravans flat tires.
"Al! You've got some filthy customers!"
"We'll be fine, Sasha. Felix is here when we need him. We'll be okay, I promise."
